I love teaser #2! Mind you, most of the show's teasers are amazing.

The season premiere episode was good, I liked a lot the new camera angles, it feels like a movie, but for me these was perhaps the worst season premiere episode from the series, don't get me wrong, Lady Gaga was awesome and the male actors were really hot, the gore thing was extreme and well done and the stories seems to promise a lot, but compared to the other seasons premiere I felt like it miss something besides Jessica Lange, perhaps episode 2 would be better when we get to known more about the hotel and his residents

^ I actually thought it was the best season premiere since Murder House!

Asylum is probably my favourite season but I remember thinking its first episode was pretty underwhelming, whereas in this case I was totally into it! Maybe I was a little more excited than usual because I knew Gaga would pop up on my screen any moment, but I don't think so, I've always been ridiculously excited about AHS. :D

The opening episode was probably my favourite of all seasons.

Dark, mysterious, twisted... and with naked hunks!

I loved the first episode!

It was interesting, scary and fierce, I couldn't have asked for anything else! I loved Lady Gaga, of course, and I'm not one of those who fancy Matt Bomer, but he looked extremely sexy during the flirting scene next to the cemetery.

I can't wait to watch more episodes, I have high hopes for this season, I hope it will be as good as the first two which were simply fantastic.

It was alright (for me). I think once I see more episodes, I'll like it more. That happened with Asylum and Freakshow.

I found it a bit underwhelming. Gonna have to watch more, obviously to form a solid opinion!

The personal bummer for me has been that I had a group of five friends who came over to catch every new episode of Freakshow last year. AHS party every week. We were going to do that with Hotel this year too...but the first episode disgusted them all so much, they all abandoned ship.

I'm sticking with it. I've loved the show too much for four years not to keep up with it. The show's been edgy from the first episode of season one...but for me, Hotel did at one point reach a new level of disturbing and cruel. The Max scene was the first time I really questioned if I could keep watching. I guess that's part of the show's intent...to keep pushing boundaries. And I do like edgy. But. Hm. I guess what I think is...for me, this was the first season opener where AHS relied *more* heavily on shock value than substance...rather than a balance of the two.

That said. I did love Gaga, Bates, Paulson, Bomer and Bentley. I hope they all get to really sink their teeth into some layered roles this year. The photography is gorgeous as always. It's all top shelf from a production/performance standpoint.

How are people disgusted by Hotel? I thought everyone was into torture porn these days?

BDSM and rape are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. Someone would have to be a twisted fuck to be into rape. :S It seems like it's a normality in all shows/movies films these days. Thus keeping rape culture alive and rapists thinking it's an okay thing.

Yes, I went there. Not sorry.

But the whole "torture" theme is killing AHS for me. Especially the last season, and so far this season. You can keep shit spooky without rape and torture.

Uh, no. It doesn't make rape ok at all, because it is showed in the context of a horror TV show (American HORROR Story) and rape is pretty horrific. I just really feel like laughing when people get all outraged because of a rape scene but then they're ok with people killing each other, a woman slitting some stranger's throat, people using violence instead etc. on TV shows, not to mention what they show on the news these days. I mean, in the first season a man killed a woman with a fucking shovel, HOW is that ok? It is ok because it is FICTION and it's on a show called American HORROR Story and people who are easily disturbed maybe shouldn't be watching.

Sick people will be influenced by anything, they are sick for a reason. No one in their right mind would think rape is ok just because a HORROR tv show had a rape scene in one episode. Like it or not, it happens, and pretending it doesn't won't make the problem disappear. If anything, by including it and getting so many people to talk about it it is raising awareness.

Just my two cents.

This!

I remember there was a rape scene once in Buffy and everyone went nuts!! Some people even hated that whole season because of that scene.
Even the actors were like "I cant believe they made us play that scene!". But scenes where people get killed (even in the same episode two people were shot, one of them shot dead), but that was "ok". I just dont get it...

I might be weird, but I haven't found anything particularly disturbing so far, to be honest.

Anyway, I loved the first episode, but I loved the second one even more! I loved Evan Peters' character and there were a couple of creepy moments. Loving Lady Gaga so far too, and Sarah Paulson is incredible, as always.

Apparently the 6th season of the show might premiere in April. How amazing would that be?! I just can't get enough of this show.

It's not season 6, it's American Crime Story.

Watched the second episode last night, it's starting to make sense and it started to grow on me. Still find a few scenes disgusting, but so far not enough to stop watching.

What is everyone thinking of this season so far? I'm absolutely loving it, all the back stories of the characters are extremely sad and I seriously can't wait to find out more. This is definitely the best season since 'Asylum' to me

Nice reference to season 4 (freak show) in the last episode.
Spoiler: show
The coffee can that had Donovan's ashes was Campfire Gold, the same coffee Elsa Mars was shooting a commercial for last season.

^ How random! I did think it was weird how they clearly wanted the viewers to pay attention to the coffee can, but I had no idea why.
