Rearranging the forums - YOUR INPUT IS NECESSARY!

I agree that the music forums should go and big threads should be enforced in Small Talk. I never think to go to the sub forums when I have music news to post. No one bothers to look or discuss there. But make sure they are actually enforced. Another forum I'm on is OVERRUN with Madonna threads in the Off Topic area and admin refuse to do anything about it.

Oh, sush! You like the song. Plus, her name because was the first that came to mind. My point is valid for any artist that has something new out but maybe people don't know about it if they don't enter said artist subforum

Which is why I think the subforums should go (well, archived actually), with a music forum placed directly below Small Talk. Neat, efficient, perfect.

Small Talk wouldn't be boring without music. This is the only forum I go on where the line has been blurred - nowhere else I visit uses their general chat section as the place to discuss Britney and Lady GaGa.

And then I'd probably leave the rest of the forum as-is.

I wouldn't give up on the sub-forums just yet. They may see more traffic if they're easier to access. But for the amount of posts the Britney, Christina and Madonna threads have been seeing lately, I think they could probably still sustain their own sub-forums. Of course, with these changes, I think the mods would have to be more vigilant about people posting threads in the wrong forums.

I dont think that it neccessary belongs into the music section but I think each member should have something like a gallery where they can upload their favourite pics or maybe some that they are looking for in HQ or so. That would be a nice touch to the whole forum thing I just dont know with how much work that would come LOL

I think that if we had a super music forum with one huge thread for each artist, that J-lo's ongoing thread would definitely have a home there - but a forum all to herself would be silly.

having all the artists "big" topics on a music forum would be pointless. I mean, we already discussed it back then, we have forums for music, movies, technologies, sex... even one for 'news'. So if we all post everything where it should be, the Small Talk forum would be empty.

if anything, I'd change its name to Big Talk, and leave everything as it is now :P

I think the only thing that's needed is to remove all those music subforums that hardly anyone uses.
