no, you wont. poland will beat crotia, and we'll win with at least 1 goal difference against austria and come in first so you wont have to fear having to play against us before the half-finals (if you can beat croatia that is ;))

nope, only croatia is in this group so far, but even a tie vs austria should be enough for us to stay in, while it's very likely that with some shuffling (frings and klose out, maybe rolfes and kuranyi(!!) in) we'll easily win this one.

I would personally hate that combination for the finals, because of the ongoing rivalary between the 2 countries. the pressure for germany to win would probably make them stiff, while with other teams, they can be more relaxed knowing its no real shame losing against france/italy/whoever.

the only reason i want to see both those teams in the finals is because i cant really pick between the two teams. hahaha so if ither one wins euro cup ill be happy, and if their both in the finals, then obviously one of them would win eurocup lol

Dennis, Croatia played shit against Austria, but they played good against Germany. It's true that Germany didn't play well, but they didn't play that well against Poland either (atleast i thought it was below their standards). All the big represantations have no luck with Croatia, Croatia won over England and that's why they're not playing on Euro, not to mention Germany, i think everyone still remembers those 3:0 from World Cup 1998.

And as for Poland beating Croatia, as if. They did play ok yesterday, even though Austria played better, but they just don't know how to score a goal.

I actually wish Croatia plays with Portugal. And i think Croatia can't finish 2nd, we're definately 1st as we beat Germany and if they have 6 points and we have 6 points the first one is the one who won the game between those two, and that's Croatia.

nope, the first one will be the one with the better goal difference, and since croatia won with 1 goal ahead each, and we won with 2 goals ahead of poland, ours will be better given that we win against austria and crotia loses against poland.

and they played ok, but not outstandingly good. it was still enough against our weak team, but that doesn't mean they were stunning. overall, it was a boring match full of silly mistakes that lead to the goals, not the unbeatable talent of the team.

I'm 99% sure Poland will win vs. Croatia because Croatia is through and they wont waste any energy before the quarter finals. And Poland's only chance to reach the quarter final is a win, so I'm quite sure they'll throw everything into winning against Croatia. Croatia did play well, but I doubt they'll play that well vs. Poland.

And throwing in a game from 1998 is a bit lame, imo. The German team from back in 1998 has absolutely nothing in common with this years team, absolutely nothing.

Gonna be a rough game on Monday, but I think Germany will win, even though it's going to be a close call. Austria always plays pretty well, but they always forget to score.

No it won't. The number of points earned in the game between 1st and 2nd place is looked at first, before goal difference of any kind. Croatia got 3, Germany got 0, so Croatia will be first if they both end up with 6 points. They'd only look at the goal difference if they had the same number of points and played a draw, but they didn't in this case so goal difference isn't necessary to look at.

I was talking about Germany's luck with Croatia, whenever there's an important game they lose.

And every media is reporting that Croatia is 1st in Group B and Portugal 1st in Group A and that that can't be changed.

That's correct. They've both beaten the team(s) that could reach the same number of points so they can't be moved from 1st place.

i never realized such a rule existed indeed, so I'm sorry and take everything back. How fucking random is that, though? poor portugal will be out in the quarterfinals already then :(

Maybe Portuguese people think that our rivalery is incredible but we don't have these feelings. You're our favourite country to win if we can't do it.

You are our lovely neightbours! France... it's different, we can't stand them.

I don't think that Poland will beat Croatia :( We would go through if Germany lose to Austria which won't happen and then still we would have to score Croatia 3 or more goals to be in quarter finals. I don't find that possible :(
