The Lion King has got to be the best show I've ever seen! I really want to see Blood Brothers, though! Is it really tragic, cos I've heard it is? Just been looking at the videos here: http://www.bloodbrothersmusical.com/videos/ Looks so good!

Why am I only just seeing this topic?! lol

I live for musicals, they're a big passion in my life. Most of my money is spent on collecting DVD's of musicals from the 1940's and 50's. I couldn't possbily choose a favourite out of the hundreds I've seen, but here are a few firm faves: "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", "There's No Business Like Show Business", "Singin In The Rain", "White Christmas" "Brigadoon" "Let's Make Love" "GiGi" "Easter Parade" to name a VERY few.

Unfortunately, I've only ever seen a small handful on stage musicals as I don't live bear any theatres, but my favourite stage musical I've seen so far has to be "The Phantom Of The Opera", I think the music in it is phenomenal. But I wasn't a fan of the movie version (even though Gerard Bulter is SO hot in it!) it just doesn't live up to the stage version.

I love musicals! My favourite is The Lion King, and then Jersey Boys. I liked Legally Blonde too! Has anyone seen End of the Rainbow? It's about Judy Garland and is more like a play with songs than a musical, but it blew me away!!

Did/will anyone see the current CHESS touring production directed by Craig Revel Horwood? It's been touring the UK since last year and it is soon moving to Toronto and probably getting a place in the West End after that. It's said to be amazing. Can't wait to see it when it makes a stop in Italy in April.

I recently saw Billy Elliot the Musical in Toronto and fell in love with the whole production right away. It was so creative and enjoyable and good flow with how they turned the movie into a musical. And how they added more story (and a good one) about the grandmother to the show. The young boy who played Billy was so talented.

come visit me in Calgary, I'm going twice this summer! I saw it in NY and loved it and that was the first time I've ever seen anything related to it. I've never even seen The Wizard Of Oz.

^really? That's amazing! I wish I could go there! Last friday I was in SĂŁo Paulo, me and my brother watched Mamma Mia! It was awesome! I wasn't too keen on listening Abba songs in portuguese, but it was like we didn't even noticed the changes, it was so so good! We had a great laugh! But at the same time we were dreaming about watchin Wicked and The Lion King. Someday soon that will happen, I hope! :)

I'm not a HUGE musical theatre go-er but over the last couple decades I've seen:

"Chicago", "Fossey" and "Monty Python's Spamalot" on Broadway (New York)... Saw "Spamalot" a 2nd time in Vegas.
"The Lion King" in Sydney
"Phantom" and "Les Miserables" in London

I REALLY REALLY want to see "The Book of Mormon"!!!!!!!

I love musicals, but I only saw Beauty and The Beast and Mamma Mia both here in Italy.
Beauty and the Beast was just AWESOME!
Mamma mia REALLY disappointed me, all songs were translated into Italian :disgust:

I'd love to see The Little Mermaid and The Lion King one day.

I seriously love musicals, have seen:
Mama Mia
Phantom Of The Opera
Chicago
Hairpray
Fame
Joseph And His Technicoloured Dream Coat (4 times)
Legally Blonde (got a free tix and it was suprisingly great)
Evita

I find it incredibly hard to chose which one is my fave, but I'd probably go with Joseph because i LOVE all the songs so much. Phantom Of The Opera was the most impressive one I have seen though, the staging was spectacular.

lol does "Finding Nemo The Musical" (at Disney's Animal Kingdom) count?

It's only a 35 minute show but the music is super cute. The show is super cute! VERY family friendly. Very colorful!!! :)

I normally don't get all excited over Disney stuff, but this one I thought was really well done.

The whole show here: ;)

^ Lol I've seen that! Can't remember it very well though, the Lion King one sticks out for me from Animal Kingdom. There also used to be a great Pocohontas show too but that was gone the last time I went. All the shows in the disney parks are just brilliant lol my fave one was Beauty and the Beast at MGM/Hollywood Studios

It looks cute! And that too is a musical even if it's shorter then usual. I didn;t know there was a Nemo musical.
But then again we've had Beauty and the beast, Tarzan, The Lion King and now also the Lil Mermaid. So why not
