Ways to get Cheap Theatre Tickets?

Hey everyone,

I am just doing some research into this topic and wondered if you guys could help? What are some ways to get cheap theatre tickets in London? I know that often there are discounts for students and senior citizens, and matinees can be cheaper, but are there any other ways?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Ummmm, I've always found that if you're in London the day of the performance you want to go and see, there's stalls all around Leister Square selling cheap tickets.

There was one time I went to London, I booked cheap tickets for a show (can't remember which one it was) and bought them from one of the ticket stands, it was the lowest priced tickets there was and we were going to be sat right up the very back.
However, when we got to the Theatre, because that particular preformance wasn't sold out, everybodies seats were moved closer to the front, so we got an amazing view for a fraction of the price it should have been!

I'm not sure about London, but if you ever get a chance to see "WICKED" go for it! I'll post the official link for you to see. It will change the way you watch the "Wizard of OZ" ! Saw it last night! It was AWESOME!!

See... I'm a big fan of musicals, but I must be the only person in the world that DIDN'T like Wicked! I thought it was appalling.

This isn't for theater but it has lots of television shows and the best thing is, the tickets are free

Go to the Box Office on the day of the performance. I've seen some good shows for as little as £10 before now. Bargain!
