The December Arena Tour

On the last episode of What Goes On Tour, they confirmed that they have a 12 arena tour in December.

Here is a list of the arenas in the UK, and the capacitys.

That's 15 arenas. However, there are several arenas in some citys, so if they performed once in each city, this is what the tour could be like (if they went to the lowest capacity arenas in each city)

Hate to say it but i can't either but did they perform to the equivalent of 12 arenas on this tour? Why else would they be 'allowed' to do an arena tour?

I don't think they could sell out arenas at this stage, but neither could Girls Aloud at this stage of their career.

I think that Notorious and the new sound they are going for is more mainstream, so could attract a new audience. By December, they could sell out arenas!

Hopefully but since the album isn't going to be out until nearer to the end of the yr, it's still risky. Hopefully the new album and single does amazing though, but we'll have to see

I hope they can do it I really do but the new album/single campaign hasn't looked that promising so far with the CD single out a month after the download and the Channel 4 series being in a shitty time slot.

We need to hope for good strong album sales now

Girls Aloud could sell arenas at this stage! In fact their tickets went on sale around about their 10th single, and 3 years into their career, which is the same as The Saturdays are at now.

The Saturdays did an extra theatre tour a lot earlier than Girls Aloud did. Girls Aloud's first tour 'What Will The Neighbours Say?' is the equivalent of The Saturdays' 'Headlines', I think.

Oh, and the jump from theatre to arena is really big. I believe most theatres have a capacity of 2,500 people, with 22 dates that's 55,000 tickets. That's roughly the same as two arenas.

I'm really excited for these tickets to go on sale!
I had such a good time in Southend on the Headlines Tour. I'm attempting to go to two shows this time round

I can't wait to see how well the tickets are going to sell, as well as what tricks they are going to do.
I can imagine the tour intro already!
Also, another thing, get Beth Honan on board (Girls Aloud tours Creative Director-basically the one who devises the show)

Apparently Liverpool is a confirmed date.

Typical, I finish sixth form soon, and I think that would be my last week, but I may still be at school. I might have to miss school until I book my tickets

They had better give a good amount of time between announcing the dates, and subsequently going on sale... it's good to have some planning time!

If The Saturdays have their tickets at a reasonable price (£25ish), I think I could just about stretch to it. I guess it depends on how scandalously priced Britney's are.

I dread to think. I want standing. I think I may have to do some persuading. "Mum...do you fancy getting me an early birthday present? You don't want me to have to be a prostitute to earn this money, do you?". That should do it.
