I don't begrudge them a Top 10 with this, but I actually don't want them to be #1.

Their chart positions vs. song quality already looks quite odd (i.e. their biggest selling hits have lower peaks, some smaller selling hits have better peaks). If '30 Days' got to #1 (in what could be a slower-than-usual sales week), it'd be so ridiculous if it didn't even end up out-selling the likes of Ego (#9) and Higher (#10), lol.

I would love to see 30 Days be their first number 1, some of GA's worst songs were their number 1s so it doesn't really matter about quality, a number 1 is a number 1.

Two of the Girls Aloud #1s were charity records though, I don't think they'd have got to #1 on their own merit without that tag. 'Sound of the Underground' and 'The Promise' are career defining though, and also their top 2 best sellers. Is '30 Days' a career defining hit for The Saturdays? Hmm.

If GA chart positions/sales were similar to The Saturdays... 'See The Day' & 'The Loving Kind' would be in their Top 3 biggest sellers! Lol.

I'd be more than happy with the #9 I predicted. Out of all their singles, this is the one that deserves the #1 the least. Even with MHTO they bothered to promote it.

Im glad they wont be releasing it before Christmas again then as that sales period is just not for them.

To me, that suggests they're avoiding a Christmas clash with Girls Aloud.

Releasing in January 2013 (which seems VERY far away!) could be advantageous for a good chart position - but decent sales in that period aren't likely.

The song is #11 on the singles chart (iTunes). About to enter the Top10 and get noticed on both charts.


The album being released next year it's weird. That means they'll release, again, 3 singles before the album with bigger gaps between them and since the next single is bound to be upbeat I guess the might launch the album, again, with a ballad/midtempo. The story repeats itself.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are just releasing singles to fill a Greatest Hits. The more 'hits' it have, the more chances of it selling well.

Still if they are going to be releasing singles for a new album I hope when it's released, they launch the album off of a strong upbeat track and not make the mistake they did with MHTO again.
