lol it depends on what you want to get done...what quality hair you buy...and just how much the person doing your hair wants to charge lol.

there are people that will spend like $300 on their hair and NOT pay the bills. i think its funny. thats why i dont bother with weave too much. i think its very inconvenient if you dont have the time/ money to keep up with it. lmao its like taking care of a pet, a very high maintenance pet

What I want to know, can you wash your hair with one in? Won't it make the glue or whatever go weird? And if that extra layer is in there, won't it take forever to dry out it? And if you can't wash it, won't your real hair underneath go really skanky?
It's such a complex world, and I need my eyes opening to it.

lol, watch Good Hair.

I know people who maintain their weaves well and others who don't. If you take good care of it, it'll last a good while. The real hair (which is usually braided and then the tracks sewn into the braids) gets "dirty" I guess, but obviously it's not that big of an issue. I think it's a bigger issue for caucasians because their hair tends to get more oily more quickly as opposed to blacks who don't need to wash their hair as often. I'm not too sure about the glue. My friends don't do it with glue.
