General Personal Fashion Questions HERE!
Re: General Personal Fashion Questions HERE!
It's generally just after it dries once I wash it. So.. shampoo/conditioner?

Do you use concealer under your eyes?
Not usually. Will that help?

I'm definitely not the smokey eye expert, but practise certainly does equal improvement!

Alright, so... my hair. It's not very thick (well, I guess it's fine, but I've got a lot of it?). I don't know if that makes a difference or not, lol, but my GOD can it be staticky! How the hell do I fix that?! I'm not keen on spraying static guard in my hair - it smells weird.
Also, and I don't know if this is normal or what, some days it will feel SUPER oily even though I've JUST washed it, like, hours before, and be full of static. WTF is that? Ughhh.
my hair was also always really really static. But since I use a condioner from scharzkopf(it's called anit-klit in dutch, don't know what it is in english) it wasn't that static anymore.

Aussie, well, that's kinda some pretty cheap stuff. It has a lot of wax and alcohol in it. The wax weighs down the hair, and the alcohol dries it out.
You'd be better off using a bit higher end of a brand... salon shampoos aren't overrated.
Try washing just the roots, and conditioning only the ends. This will avoid grease at the roots, and drying the ends!

No, it would have made it worse, actually. Hmmm, I'm not really sure. Could some be getting there when you are applying it?

I use Aussie too and thought it was just the winter air drying out my hair. Thanks for the advice, Erin. Any suggestions on a shampoo/conditioner for very fine long, never-been-treated hair?

Re: General Personal Fashion Questions HERE!
blah c-section scar shelf. I know none of you have had c-sections but um help?
I have it bad now after two c-sections. the scar shelf that's hanging over which means no matter what I wear I have a muffin top. Actually it means I have it when I'm naked too.
I can't get a tummy tuck for a while since my scar has to heal first. Believe me I will be getting my tummy tuck as soon as the doctor gives me the okay.
I suppose it's the luck of the draw after having two c-sections but what are your favourite tummy shapers? I don't want a full body one just a tummy one.
Spanx starts at a 26.5" waist and I have a 25" waist so that's out.

Aveda makes a really good Volumizing shampoo that is really easy on the hair. I turned my mom on to it, who doesn't have luck with most anything for her hair, and she has used and loved it for 4 yrs!
It's called 'Pure Abundance'.

I've only used Spanx. Are you sure that you should be wearing one while the scar heals? You would think that it needs oxygen and movement to heal properly?

well, I can't wear it until the doctor gives the okay. My postpartum "inspection" is on March 11th and I will more than likely get the okay to wear them and start exercising.

Slightly OT but Heather are you putting vitamin E on it? I would really recommend going to a pharmacist or supermarket, buying a pack of vitamin E capsules and breaking them open then squeezing them onto the scar.

Re: General Personal Fashion Questions HERE!
will that do anything for the skin flap? I thought Vitamin E was just to help the appearance of the scar? I know this is extremely weird but I don't want to do anything to try to help my scar be not as visible. The scar gave both my babies life and I'm sort of attached to it. I realize I sound like a freak now lol
Plus c-section scars are so low that the only person who sees it other than myself is my husband. The scar is even hidden under skimpy low rise gstrings.
See how my belly is square shaped?

and it jiggles like nobodies business everytime I take a step
the scar shelf/skin flap thing starts right where my pants start. If my pants were any lower it'd look like I had pizza dough hanging off me.

OT, your body after two kids looks like mine after six months of being self-employed. 0_0

Can you go to the gym yet? I'm guessing you have to wait a certain amount of weeks after a c section. (and by the way I'm not saying I think you need to-just asking out of curiosity!)

well normally you get the okay to work out at 6 weeks post partum but I don't think I will. I was an idiot and rushed some things you are also supposed to wait 6 weeks to do...well now it hurts to even walk.
I managed to find a belly belt thing that didnt have those ugly metal loops like all the ones I'd seen at baby stores

I really love crochet beanies but I feel like they don't look right on me. Do hats/beanies work for some people and not others? I'm just not sure how to pull it off.

What is smudge? I know what a smudger brush is... But I was reading an old issue of Marie Claire and I came across a page where they had glass bottle of smudge. I'm not exactly sure WHAT it is. Is it like for smokey eyes. I think the page also said it could be used as eyeliner also. But still. CONFUSED!
