knock-offs/look alikes?

Postby Madrigal » 03 Jul 2011, 05:59

I'm not blessed with a job right now (I get SSI, but still, gotta save what I can). But I am into designer-looking stuff. I recently bought a pair of Karen Walker knock-off sunglasses from Urban Outfitters for $10. Versus how much they would've really costed.

Right now I want an Alexander McQueen clutch and an Hermes scarf... but I DEFINITELY cannot afford either. I also spotted Emma Watson wearing a leopard print scarf, and I want one of those, too. I don't know the designer, but it's soooo cute.

I like this one.

Does anyone know of any good knock-off websites?

On ebay there are lots of sellers. But the quality is not that great I think.

That's also true. You also have the change that the customs will destroy it because it's fake...

Seriously. Ugh.

I try to stick to Urban Outfitters/Forever 21/Etsy... those types.

I understand why people buy knockoffs. I only do it with sunglasses and thats because I cant not break a pair, so like hell am i about to buy some $300 sunnies to drop them in the street or step on them in the middle of the night. ha

I'm HORRIBLE with sunnies! They ALWAYS break or get lost. Always.
I do have a pair of Gucci sunnies that an older friend gave me a few years ago, though.. and I'm VERY careful with them. Always put them back in their case, which is a hard shelled case, so they stay safe.
