Nails topic

Postby Vitalina » 23 Jan 2012, 19:29

Hello girls,
Could not find anything specifically nail-related, so I tought I will start a new one.
I don't have great nails, they don't grow very long, and are very easy to break. Moreover, the skin around the nails is very dry.
What is your nail routine? Please share some tips :)

I also struggle with dry cuticles, but nail oil helps a lot. Makes the skin smooth and it doesn't tear that easy and often. I also only use ceramic stone nail files, because metal ones make my nails split. Only file your nails in one direction, it prevents cracking.

I don't really do anything with my nails except cutting them. I hate having them too long. I've read in many beauty blog that cuticule oil is quite good.

I,m still looking for a good polish remover, I loved the Sephora one, without acetone, but sadly, they changed formula and it does have acetone in it and it's more drying. I've heard Zoya is good, but it's hard to find in my area.

Avon sells (or used to anyway, not sure if they still do) sell a cuticle lotion. It helps moisturize them and make them easier to cut down.

I use OPI's avoplex oil. I was a beauty therapist before I became a nurse and I love all of the opi range ,got some great results. Or you could use olive or macademia nut oil on them at night time with some cotton gloves:).
