Hi!

Just listened to "Male" and it's nice... it's soothing... and it's also quite country, isn't it?

Long gone are the days of angsty "Left Of The Middle" :D

Was "Come to Life" openly commercialized? It is the most to get

That Alanis angst was a pre-Britney phase. No one really bares their soul any more.

Yeah I know, but even the music (not just lyrics)... (Although Rihanna did it with "Rated R")

I prefer "Left Of The Middle" is perfection!

What the hell was she thinking releasing "That Day" as a single off of White Lilies Island? That song is a mess, and not a marvelous one.

I agree with VP and urge hardtosee to reconsider.

Do you love? Was my favorite song off the album

That day wasn't a good choice as a first single, but definitely a grower. That album is one of my all time favourites. Do you love, Goodbye, Sunlight - single material! :adam:

I think she released the three strongest tracks as singles on the WLI album.

Hurricane is a fave of mine but not as a single.

Hindsight is everything and in reality, "Wrong Impression" should've probably been the first single and given the album a better start in the long run - I seem to remember it being all over the radio, yet it didn't even chart here. I don't think it reached its full potential due to the backlash of That Day. An #11 peak might not be seen as a huge disaster today, but extremely disappointing back then for a major label artist.

Wrong Impression definitely would've been a better choice. I remember that song playing everywhere here in the US.

Her best album is actually the second White Lilies Island, with Left of the MIddle a close second. There are definitely similiarities in her sound to Melanie's. Her last album was a covers album which was kind of dull.

I love Natalie, I just wished she was as committed to music and released stuff as often as Melanie does. She's very talented but a bit lazy.

She had so much potential, but ended up being relegated to the one hit wonder vault. Love Nat (esp. White Lilies Island), but I think it's a real shame she didn't blow up bigger after Left of the Middle.

She waited way too long. Left of the Middle was out late 97 and blew up in 98. She then waited until the end of 2001 to follow it up losing all momentum in the process. I love WLI btw so I'm not complaining but from a success pov she messed up.

Mel C mirrored her situation exactly with Northern Star and Reason.

She was very good in Milan last Saturday. So glad she decided to tour this year. She sounds incredible live! :inlove:

Was there any merchandise available at the show?
