Janet's "postponed" the UK leg of her tour, but tickets are being refunded, so it's effectively cancelled. Gutted/annoyed.

People speculate it's because of the tour selling poorly. Could it be true or was it sold out in UK? People seem to be outraged because of the money spent on flights and hotels and tickets being non-refundable...

Not a surprise. Ticket sales were abysmal. The front blocks and maybe a couple of the tiers had sold, but the rest of the venues were empty and the shows must've been running at about 20-25% sold. For Birmingham you could get 7th row up to last week. When I booked my tickets I didn't bother booking a hotel because I had a hunch it would be cancelled.

Whoever advised that she could sell a UK arena tour on virtually her name alone was clearly misinformed. She's not had a hit single in 15 years and she's not celebrated as a touring artist à la Kylie and Madonna, in that they can keep touring regardless of their new material bringing in diminishing returns.

Sad though as I bet it would've been a good show and I was looking forward to seeing it. Alas, it's unlikely now.

^^ London seemed almost sold out from day 1. But then again, that was probably Ticketmaster reselling to GetMeIn as per usual. :death:

Makes me wonder if Mimi is the next one? :adam: I heard her tickets are not selling that well! Less than a month until her concert and and plenty of tickets left...

I find Janet far less appealing ever since she became less pop & more R&B Urban. Like I'm seriously going to be in the audience snapping my fingers and grooving to No Sleeep. Burn It Up is weak and so are her vocals. Could she have traded Missy Eliot for Nicki Minaj at least?

And her hair looks like something Pete Burns wore in the 80s

Her tour kicks off in 5 days, so it's a bit late in the day for her to cancel, relative to Janet who cancelled 3 weeks in advance. *Tempts fate*

Yep I am! :D Although the date I'm attending (Birmingham on the 20th) is the 4th of 6th UK dates, so you may end up seeing a lot about it before I see her.

I am considering. All I want to know is the set list, if she sings live and if her stage presence is good. I know she won't dance or anything, but I just hope she sings live and in that case I will buy a ticket to see her.

Janet Jackson always dances a lot, that is part of the reason she uses backing vocals. Her setlist is v extensive so she shortens and ruins most of the tracks :death: :dizzy:

Mariah does sing live, but she will lip sync the more "difficult" parts of her songs. She will just switch back and forth

Lol :') Some of her European fans are really pissed off, lots of angry messages on her Facebook.

Btw, this was posted on Janet's social media accounts a couple of days ago:

"You're missing me, I'm missing you... I'll be rescheduling our Unbreakable shows in Europe as soon as I can. Xoxo"

I really don't think I'd buy tickets again if she announced new ones. I'd find it difficult to spend the money again and have trust in her going through with it.

There's a new megamix from Jack Roeby covering Janet's entire career from Control to Unbreakable. He's previously done incredible mixes for Britney, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Kylie and Spice Girls.

That empty stadium photo surely can't be real, right?
