Yeah cus she has spent 8 weeks at #1 now and Anti hasn't left the US top 10, when you all thought she'd opened with like 400 copies in the US you were in here then, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Of course it`s alway exciting when an artist release a new album to see how it goes and such.
But as you said, it`s 8 fucking weeks ago...why should we still talk about that? We all know how it went down, lol
We accepted it and moved on. Maybe it`s time you do too?

Don't forget the 'CANCELLED TOUR DATES!!!!' got you all swarming too, now the Anti tour is being hailed as her best and her vocals have been getting lots of praise and the US dates pushed back have been sold out.

But seriously, does it really frustrate you that people in here comments about artists failures?

If so, then I think you need to take a good look in the mirror, buddy. You`re the absolute WORST in this forum about pointing out your negative bullshit in here!

I find it hard to believe you haven't heard 'Work' given how big it has been.

Oh look just a quick look back through the thread and when discussing work you added this.

So you either lied then about it, or are lying now :dizzy: :death:

I think the main reason this thread has died down is because this era is just boring.

For me I just think for an album that took (3 years?) to complete, Anti is so forgetful and lazy. I don't understand why albums with mediocre, forgetful songs, are hailed as "artistic" and "grown up" just because they're not commercial. :dizzy:

I have to agree. She might be selling by the bucketloads but the album is fucking poor. Also, Work is completely forgettable...

And  :dee: at the idea that sammy01 is complaining about people bitching on an act that he likes, when that's all he ever does on this whole forum... People with glass houses shouldn't really throw stones at others

Not commercial? Work is still top 10 in the UK and #1 in the US it was released in what January.

Needed Me is nearly top 50 WW on Spotify and top 30 US on Spotify, it will be a huge hit mark my words. They had the video for Kiss it better filmed forever ago and were waiting for Work to die down but it has been a monster hit, so they have chucked it out and sacrificed it so that Needed Me can flourish in a months time.

There is also a tour in full swing, she performed at the Brits too.

The album is mature and dark and completely Rihanna as a person and now artist and is doing very well commercially.

I think so far apart from the tidal shit (she has a stake in it so I guess she wants to try and make it work) and the illness that pushed the tour back and stopped her doing the Grammys everything has been completely spot on. Work will be a huge hit people will remember, Kiss it better will be a fan fave that got a video, Needed Me will cement the album and era as another huge era for her commercially.

There commercial success is pretty much sorted at this stage and the album and tour has gained her lots of critical acclaim too, so really it is pretty much mission accomplished if Rihanna's aim was to stay as relevant as she can sales wise but to explore her sound and make an album she connects with on a personal level that in turn earns her critical acclaim as it isn't a trend chasing dance/pop album that will sound dated in 3 years time.

Your post is revolving around chart positions and sales, they mean nothing… I meant not commercial as in the sound of the album.

Obviously she's selling well as she has a huge fan base who will buy her singles/albums, but I fail to see the "brilliance" of Anti. I can fully appreciate a personal album, but it has to actually be good.

You can't polish a turd by calling it "personal" and "artistic".

As most of us have said on this thread, we are all aware of her commercial achievements. That's great.
Artistically, the whole project is still shit. It sounds dated already.

I'm gonna go against the majority and say that I love Anti. I listen to it from start to finish probably 3-4 times a week
