The songs on Ultraviolence lack strong melodies. Most of the songs just plod along. For me, it was a chore to sit through most of Ultraviolence. I'm gonna give back my stan card if this new album sucks.

So, "High By the Beach" casually debuts at #7 on the Hot 100...

She sold 248,000 copies last week, debuting at #1 on the digital sales chart. That's pretty impressive, especially considering she didn't release the song on a Friday.

Wow, that was something I never expected to happen.

Erm...

UPDATED Aug. 18, 2:15 p.m.: This story has been updated to reflect new chart data, which was reprocessed by Nielsen Music following the story's original Monday posting. As a result, Lana Del Rey's "High By the Beach" debuts at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 instead of No. 7. On Digital Songs, it debuts at No. 10 instead of No. 1, with 67,000 sold, instead of 248,000, as originally reported. The information below has been updated to reflect corrected data.

^ Now that sounds more like it!

I know she has many fans, but the original sales were a bit too impressive!

I have listened to "High By The Beach" twice now and it is nice, but I do think I am completely over her music which is a shame because I loved "Born To Die".

Salvatore and Music To Watch Boys To are the highlights of the album.
