Who was it who was saying that exact same sentence when Nicola Roberts sold more and peaked higher...I wonder???

To be fair - it seems like she recorded the bulk of this album before signing to Decca. So there's a fair amount of cost away.

I mean, Decca won't release album #2, but I don't think they made a massive loss either.

I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes one of those niche artists who releases an album every couple of years. Decca surely knew what to expect and cost on their side would be absolute minimal, if she can keep it selling in Ireland and get an extra 10k (total) from the UK they would probably see it as a success.

Kind of surprised there's an upbeat feeling towards this album's commercial performance... why is there an assumption that Decca (UMG) has such low expectations from one of their signings? It's unlikely to sell much more than 5k in total in the UK. That'd be a fairly insubstantial result from an album released on an indie label (from a known artist).

I'm usually the first to be optimistic about how my girl group faves are doing, but I feel it'd be quite kind to describe this as merely a mediocre result.

Purely talking about commercial performance here. I've always liked Una as a personality & the album is a pleasant listen.

I thought she will flop like Vanessa and Mollie with their music, a top 30 album is a great achivement for her

Vanessa & Mollie haven't released albums so that's not a very fair comparison.

Mel C would kill for 3 weeks on the chart! I stand by her doing 10k in the UK (mainly because she seems to be able to book TV shows as promo).

Also it rose to #12 second week in Ireland.
