well, thats her persona, she is nothing without that. She has tried to change before, I remember her suddenly walking in labelled clothes, fashion, and partying with Paris Hilton, but she is different than what we see

True that. I believe that image is what she feels most comfortable in. Why should she change it? She is not solely relying her image to sell her music anyway.

I do believe it's possible for her to grow up, as the girl behind Avril Lavigne. But where would the fun be in that for her fans? She speaks to a lot ofpeople, especially teenagers who feel like she did when she was 16, and teenagers is something new every year

LOVE the Give You What You Like snippet! Very different for her.
She's certainly come a long way from her virgin anthems like Don't Tell Me and I Don't Give, lol.
Ugh, I just want this album already!

even tho i LOVE the song i kinda hate how she gets so affected by her husbands musically... The Best Damn THing was basicly a watered-down Sum 41 record with a little Avril twist on the side and all 3 songs from this era sounds like watered-down and bettered Nickelback songs... and the fact that she covered How You Remind me doesn't really help...

I am really surprised. I just listened once but seems like Avril has done a fantastic work. Now I should star giving some credit to Epic.
I wonder what would have happened if this album was the third instead the fifth... I know that the third did incredibly well (second in the 2007 chart if I recall) but this is the style that most of us spected her to follow.

Well done Avril.

I noticed that once I posted it, I'm not sure what happened there! It gets 4 stars.

I like everything except the song with M. Manson. Is there any info if there'll be a deluxe edition of the album?

Her album is surprisingly good! The track with Marilyn Manson is screaming to be a single.
