They only released 7 singles in the UK.

The rest of the songs are from albums/singles or EPS

Releasing a best of with almost your entire discography ? That's so unnecessary. I literally only know 3 songs on that list and I'm not the least bit interested in checking out THAT MUCH filler. They don't have enough well known songs for an Anthology so they should have made this list way shorter.

As this is a budget release I assume it has very little to do with B*Witched themselves. It's coming out via "Music Club Deluxe", which is also issuing an Another Level compilation. There's also a similar release for Steps that came out last year. Judging by the track lists of all these releases, they're basically throwing anything & everything on them to fill 2 CDs!

Champagne or Guinness is at least from their self-released EP I believe? So they must have provided that track, plus the cover is one of their recent photos so clearly they've let whoever is releasing this compilation use them.

Ah well, get money bitches as Khia would say.

I think it's cool they're releasing a collection, and it has some b-sides and other tracks that weren't on their albums. I'd get it just to have the remixes.

Too bad it doesn't include Hold On and Where Will You Go? though.

Oh, and Fighting for the Drop. I thought that was the best song of their newest EP.

I never knew about that version of Jump Down. No clue what it is. I just remember they remixed it for the single release.

Kind of a moot point anyway since it was the worst song on the album. :puke: I still can't believe THAT song was the one that put the nail in the coffin of their career.

No new music plans though

There's no plans for new music though, with Lindsay denying claims they were planning on releasing a new album: "We had a great time writing and recording the EP but it’s much harder these days as we all have such busy lives, with children, careers etc. "

Keavy has recently graduated and is now a counsellor/Sings for a covers band
Lindsay is an actress in some web series/Sings in band Clayton
Edele does anything she can get her hands on/Mother
Sinead runs some kids tutoring/dance classes/Mother

TBH Lack of funds is the main reason there is no new album. They had to use Pledge to get the EP out there.

And the fact that there's no audience for it. There's enough demand for a couple of gigs here and there and it's surely good money for an evening's work, but nobody's interested in new music. All people want to hear is the hits.

I doubt it Edele did Celebrity Big Brother a few years ago which people only do for the money.

I doubt any of the acts did the Big Reunion for nothing either.

Alot of these bands do paid gigs at shopping centres and such which they definitely wouldn't do unless they had to.

I think I read most of Girls Aloud are worth around $5 - $7 million mark, and that is with 5 UK tours and 6 albums and thats 8 years as an active group.

B*Witched only toured the UK once as a headline act and only released 2 albums over a 2 year period. They did write a lot of their own music, including three #1's, so I suspect they get royalties from those, so they may have scored themselves a few million each??

Yeah a lot of popstars weren't as rich as people make them out to be.

I think it was put out that S Club 7 only made $300,000 within their 4 years in the band. TLC also did an interview saying after they sold millions of albums that they end up not making a profit.

At the end of the day it depends on the initial contract you sign, plus HOW you invest the money you earn - there are acts who's barely had a hit-and-a-half but made wise investments and then there are acts who made millions, but didn't invest well and signed shit contracts.

I doubt B*Witched made enough money though - it was their first record contract which didn't see it out before splitting.

SHANE FILAN

50 CENT

DUNCAN JAMES
+ the rest of Blue

MARTINE McCUTCHEON

TONI BRAXTON

T-Boz (TLC)

DIONNE WARWICK

It is very common for popstars to find themselves in the red, basically because their royalty payments are very low on some contracts x
