Re: They are all rehearsing right now!
While I agree with everyone that we should be grateful that something's happening, and that this is free for everyone, let's also be realistic: the girls (or at least some of them) would never agree to this if it wasn't for the upcoming musical. What better way to drum up excitement than a performance like this? Let's just hope they let them lip sync. I enjoyed the Victoria Secret performance a few years back.

I just hope it's an over the top performance...
Lots of colour, glitter, dancers, close ups!
That's why I'm not so into "Wannabe" as they usually don't dance (apart from the chorus) so it's just them being silly and that wouldn't look that amazing on the stadium... and it's supposed to be playback so even worse...

Oh, and once again, they didn't cancel any worldwide dates, 'cos those dates did not exist. No arrangements were made. I thought that was clear by now.

The closing ceremony of the Olympics, at a HUGE London Stadium.
THE END OF THE SPICE GIRLS AS A GROUP, as they always planned it to be before Geri's departure.

Which of them would have guessed when writing SUYL, they would be performing it in the Olympics.

I think a lot of you think you have an ownership over the girls because you have "given them money." It makes it seem like fanship is a charity, but in reality with every single, cd, concert ticket you buy you're getting something in return that you WANT. Fans are not sponsors, this whole thing is a give and take, and if you don't want to give then nobody is forcing you, nor are any of the girls telling you to.
And it's funny that this is coming up during the Olympics, which will be a free event for all of us.
I sound angry but I'm only discussing.

We'll have them together once again in November/December to promote the musical.

Three brilliant minds. The Olympics are so free that tickets for the closing ceremony are SOLD, and at the moment for absurd prices. Not to mention people who travel to see them, even if they just get on a train from Paris. We are all on the same side here, we all want them to put on a wonderful show, and we all expect to see it somehow. We are all fans, and THEY should be thankful we're still here supporting them, and not being forced to. All the marketing worked, am I clear now?!

Which is even more commercial. They were hired to entertain more than their own public. Bitches have less than 10 days.

Re: They are all rehearsing right now!
I'm grateful for everything the Girls give us. They owe us nothing!
When you spend money on them you are just buying the rights to own/attend whatever you're buying, whether that's a CD, concert or barbie doll. If you want something more after that you'll have to wait until something's offered and then pay for it if you want to have it.
Heck, even flying in from around the globe doesn't entitle you to anything, the Girls don't have a contract to please you... However much some of us *including myself* would like them to
Also, the feeling of gratefulness is a much nicer one than that of disappointment or anger, even just that is reason enough for me to decide.

well it's great their doing the Olympics, the Musical.... . But clearly it's for they own bussiness, not for being thankful to their fans. After i am not disapointed at all. I'm really happy about the olympics. let's keep the Spice moves for long

Re: They are all rehearsing right now!
it's normal that everything they do is for business because it's their job, but I believe gthat they enjoy every single minute they stay together.
The fact that they will do this show to promote theirslef and evrythingelse about them as the musical is normal and I just enjoy them for the way the do things.
What's the point about fans? I can't understand

Why is a joyous occasion becoming negative? I'm sure that will turn around when we watch them.

Whoever thinks they own the Spice Girls anything is a bit too into deep the Girl Power thing (I'd call them pen girl kinda fans).
Whatever they do, we'll obviously wanna see it, and that means money out of our pockets and into theirs. THEY should be thankful we still spend money, not us. And we should be mature enough to demand a good show, for fuck's sake. At the end of the day, only money matters.
A lot of fans at DenDen share this logic and I do not understand it. I think a lot of you think you have an ownership over the girls because you have "given them money." It's not about being their owners, luv. But if someone's gotta give anything back, that would be them, not us. We've done our part, they need to do theirs putting on a marvelous entertainment show (just notice how Melanie C fan base gets smaller every single day).
That's what we want, that's what they should do well, that what they're being paid to do by whoever signed them. It's pure business, money in exchange of a (supposedly good) service. Bitches better serve us well, and they've been doing just that. If not, we'd have lost interest, simples as that.
... and that is a wonderful relationship, if everyone is aware of it.
Are you a Melanie C fan? is her fanbase truly getting smaller?

The announcement to the fans and press existed. It was a huge PR mess, but let's not get into that again. Happy they are doing this event, hope they don't fuck it up too.

Do they really enjoy their company together? I've come to the conclusion, and maybe I'm wrong, that they can't stand each other. Think about it, there is no real reason for them to not work together as a band, yet they've never done it since Forever, and the few engagements that they had together since then have all been shortlived. I think they can't stand each other.
