I do feel the same.

Still, it would be great if they got more recognition with other songs

Ironic that Wannabe sold the least amount of copies during in opening week and originally reached #3 when all of the others debuted at #1 and had massive first week sales. but I suppose Wannabe went on to do incredible things with its chart run, UK sales and worldwide appeal.

People shouldn't forget 2B1, SUYL, Goodbye - they were all massive too.

Speaking of 'Goodbye', it's a shame that it(relatively) doesn't generate many streams! It's not in their Top 10. I think it may suffer from the fact it's the last track on 'Forever', so not as visible as most of their other singles. Also one of their least watched videos on YouTube. It doesn't match up with the fact that it is their 4th biggest seller!

Considering Goodbye sold a good 600k+ copies and over 800k+ in such a short space of time, such a shame it never reached a million. On a par with 2 Become 1.

Goodbye also doesn't get as much airtime at Christmas, 2 Become 1 is a radio staple, on the music channels etc. but Goodbye (and Too Much) don't, so being on Forever and being a four piece track, it just kinda stays under the radar.

Funny to think just because of being on a playlist for a day a song like SUYL gains 300+ sales in 1 day in the UK.

Also, at the moment they have around 2 915 462 unique listeners/month. I've been checking regularly since Spotify made the feature available - and they're usually at around 2 500 000 to 2 600 000 - so a bit higher than "normal" but still a drop since the anniversary when they were well over 3 000 000.

For fun: compare with TLC (3 349 359) and Destiny's Child (4 073 424).

More material?

DC had four albums (+ a Christmas one), as did TLC. Spice Girls had two huge albums, plus Forever.

Yet still, they sold more records than them both.

Were Destiny's Child and TLCs debut albums even that successful? You kind of look on The Writings on the Wall and CrazySexyCool as their proper mainstream introductions.

No, No, No from Destiny's Child's first album did well, but you're right that the album itself wasn't that successful.

TLC's first album did well in the US, but not much on the international market... still, more albums = more material available to stream = adds up to more overall plays.

TLC weren't ever that big (in Europe) besides Waterfalls and No scrubs. R'n'b wasn't that big in Europe until the late nineties. Destiny's Child got "lucky" because it was their career's peak in 1999-2001 when R'n'B dominated the charts.
