They did a retro motown version, it worked well but Andrea from Mel B's series wanted to do the exact same version and wasn't allowed. There is a video on youtube of him doing the version on some CIN thing. So the praise for it being original is a bit much.

Don't think it will push up the sales as the arrangement was so different to the original.
But what they did with it was very different and I loved it!

This is good; im glad they did sang SG song ,this is the second time a non joke act do a Spice girls song on that show, also its weird that Simon didnt let Andrea covred a SG song before but now he is fine with it, maybe because he likes to manage GEM reunion

Louis Walsh said he 'made the Spice Girls cool' by letting his act perform a SG song  then Sharon told him that SG are always cool!!!!!

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/2 ... tor-cover/

Funny story, love how they can make a story from nothing but hey the extra exposure and press wont hurt the songs, so hey ho.

Oh and Spice Girls net tweet is used, well done, I think.

So random, but thanks for letting me know.

Today's journalists just take everything off Twitter and Instagram, paste a few images and give it a header :satan:

That was a great arrangement for the song, but I found their singing to be quite terrible, if I'm honest. The backing vocals carried the performance.

This is a good thing, but with an act like the Spice Girls they are so unique that any cover will never be half as good. I know that people don't regard the Spice Girls as superior, but their songs are never amazing when someone else performs them.

It was good, 5 after midnight have ok vocals not amazing, so it was never going to be a huge belt.

The whole night they used spice girls songs for VTs and background music and Xtra Factor played out with everyone dancing to Stop and it playing over the credits.

It's like they sang ´Say You'll be there' using almost the same track of the group that sued the Spice Girls

It was cool, I loved this version! But that bitch Nicole said something like "you made this Spice Girls song like it could be Stevie Wonder" or something along the lines and all of the bastards tried to shade our Girls, except of Sharon who shouted "Spice Girls are cool", lol, bless her!

I don't remember the exact words, but he said that when he heard about their choice of a song he thought it would be a total disaster. Also Louis Douchebag Walsh said something negative. It seems that he only likes boys. :p I think only Sharon was being cool about them (Spice Girls). Bless her. I didn't really hear what Nicole said, she never really has anything important to say anyway.

Oh and a bit O/T but who voted these artists into the finals? None of them can hold a tune and they seem really bored on stage. :death:
