When Spice was #1 in the USA

Postby Official Spiceworld » 11 May 2017, 19:49

When the Spice Girls topped the Billboard Album Charts with 'Spice' in May, 1997 they appeared on shows like David Letterman and Rosie O'Donnell and both programmes mentioned that the album was, as of the 14th of May, the #1 album in America. Which was a Wednesday.

The Billboard charts are every Sunday and on Wikipedia and the Official Billboard Chart website they date it as the 24th of May.

So when did the album actually reach #1?

I was going to have a Twitter marathon in a couple of days as there are some pretty amazing chart facts that I can post :D

Many thanks if anyone knows anything about how it works and if they can help :)
