So, here's a fun story

First, some background. For those of you who don't know or remember (and those who do), last year I gave Melanie a puppet of herself while she was on tour in Canada. It's kind of a tradition I've had for YEARS (since I was 6, to be exact) that I have to make them for people.

Anyway, that birthed this:

Then, last week I went to see the Blood Brothers show and met Mel and had a chat with her after. I finally got to tell her face-to-face that I was the one who made that puppet (and that the left over construction paper used to make it was what created the fishes phenomenon). She told me her and Paul had a blast playing with it on the tour bus and that she still had it, which just made me go all

She then jokingly said that I should make a Mrs. Johnstone puppet. I said I would. Little did she know I was serious. I went back yesterday to deliver my creation. When I showed her, she laughed so hard, she doubled over and nearly collapsed. She said I was completely crazy ("I know, Mel") but also completely brilliant ("Thanks, Mel") and have me a massive hug.
