Thanks

As far as I'm aware, every online shop says it is out of stock / sold out. Don't forget it was advertised as a "Limited Edition".

However, if you happen to visit Germany in the coming days, you'll probably still be able to find it in stores such as Saturn.

Thanks!

I think she need some more rhythms in her songs......that's what I am missing in most of her songs something like (shape of you from Ed or any song from Sia has)

I guess we might be in the 30.000 mark. Let's say 10.000 in the UK and same amount in Germany.

I don't think so. Have in mind that the album is available worldwide. Just 6000 copies per contitent would be enough to get to that number.

Pop can be electronic, also rock and every other musical style. I think when Melanie says his album is very electronic, means that most of the sounds are computer generated, even if it is a guitar.

To clarify this, for me Anymore is a electronic-dance track. Dance because of the rithym and electronic because it was done withouth a single real instrument.

This!!

The only EDM track on the album is Numb. Others are electronic, sure, meaning the vocals / instruments have been given a certain sound. It's not just about whether all music is made with a computer or not. It has to do with vocal processing as well (and I'm not talking about auto-tune here).

It's outsold Stages hasn't it? That was on 7,000 official chart sales for the last update so 8-10,000 in the UK isn't too far fetched.

Not sure what sales are like in Germany,

Even though Stages should have still been counted as an album so would make VOM good and the next one bad. Doesn't work when an album is left off to make a point count

I agree. I like Stages more than Reason, Beautiful Intentions and VOM. Stages is a good album for me.

It's all up to tastes...

I have another appreciation of her albums:

GOOD: Northern Star, This Time (I do love it), The Sea, Version Of Me
AVERAGE: Beautiful Intentions (Don't like the angst-y style)
BAD: Reason, Stages

For me her best albums are Northern Star, This Time and The Sea. These three albums really showcased her singing talent followed by Beautiful Intentions and Stages. My least favorites are Reason and Version Of Me. The songs on these two albums sounded so much alike from each other I have a trouble identifying the song and the title. :)

I love how one persons opinion is counted as an overall statistic. Just because you don't like stages, this time or version of me, doesn't mean others don't and doesn't make it a bad album, it just means you have alternative taste. Jesus Christ. How old are the people that post here?

Northern Star is obviously a masterpiece but as I have overplayed it, it's my least listened to album these days and has been for a long time.

I enjoy Reason, some good tracks, some not so good (in my opinion!) - however it's not an album I listen to much either

Beautiful Infentions is my ultimate favourite and I don't think any of them come close. That album speaks to me, literally.

This Time, is my least favourite out of all that have been released.

STAGES, I funnily enough really like, and listen to.

The Sea, incredible.

Version of Me, I also love. I just don't feel it's as electronic as she makes it out to be, doesn't mean it's a bad album, just means I don't really understand where she was wanting to go with it.

Stages is a brilliant album. It's an album of show tunes, I really don't know what people were expecting.

Random thought...

Did this make it to VOM
https://twitter.com/peermusic/status/499717539732021249

random assumption...
is that why VOM has been removed from the American spotify/itunes... re-release?

*wishful thinking*

I kinda like the album now after a good few listens, but it's still not her best work, far from it.

As much as I respect Mel C and although she is my favorite singer out of the five girls, because what she has done has been done with dignity and with talent and not some cheap anti-SG tricks or very poor covers and overly sexualized (I Want Candy is a huge exception here), I have to say there is not one album from her that I enjoy from the beginning to the end. VoM comes close but not quite. Northern Star is her best one, of course, but the styles vary too much. Like so many other pop artists who gain a solid fanbase after releasing some dance/pop music that shows off their vocals, she also abandoned the genre and went pop/rock instead. Very similarly to Pink. When you do that, you lose half of your casual fans. And let's face it, most pop-rock is really boring to listen to, and they all sound the same, because the singers don't really have to sing as much as they would on a dance record. I expected a lot of VoM but it didnt deliver. I like Something for the Fire, Room for Love, Anymore and Numb.

I'm not gonna say Mel is a single, not an album artist. Cause that's very obviously Geri. But just as a general advice, I would keep the style and theme of the album the same, so it flows through organically, instead of putting too many different genre songs on it. You can mix genres in a song, but don't make the album sound like a best of.

Look at Madonna. She is still able to pull off number one albums cause her musical style hasnt changed. She experiments within the dance genre but she knows thats what the fans want and why they stick around, so any rock is also electronic, and not a single. She might be many things, but she's also smart as hell when it comes to selling albums. Listen to your fans.

Just my opinion, and I might be a bit harsh but it is only cause I actually give a damn.
