Re: David's H&M underwear pictures
we don't have H&M where I am at the moment either. I won't be back at my house in Toronto until September blah. Oh well there is always Vancouver but I don't care that much about men's underwear to make a special trip into the city.
One of my besties is having a baby and she lives in Vancouver so I'll definitely be there in May. If they're still doing it then I can pick you up one of those bags or whatever *Lah*

Re: David's H&M underwear pictures
His other half may have better style credentials, but David Beckham is about to start competing in the fashion game himself, as he enters the fray with his own-design âbodywearâ with H&M. It makes senseâ¨â after all, his good looks and celebrity status have been selling other peopleâs garments for years...â¨Fashion writer Derek Blasberg meets him for H&M Life.
I like the idea of you having a business card that says âunderwear designerâ.
Yeah! I think I should have some made. I donât have any cards yet, so thanks for the idea.
What? Youâve worked in fashion for years now; I canât believe no oneâs given you a card â so when did you start paying more attention to how people dress?
Iâve always liked fashion. I might not have always worn great stuff, but I always knew what I liked. Iâve definitely worn stuff that maybe someone else wouldnât wear, but I wear what I think looks good.
Do you have a daily uniform?
Not at all. The only thing I do is set my outfit out the night before so itâs ready in the morning.
Have you been like that since you were a kid?
I suppose the very first thing I remember, when it comes to fashion, is when I was a pageboy at a family wedding. I had a choice between wearing some boring old suit, or a pair of knickerbockers with ballerina tights and slippers. I went with the tights.
Looking back on all of your sartorial decisions youâve made, do you laugh about any of it now?
Me and Victoria wore matching black leather outfits once. They were Versace. Thatâs one where I look back, like, âWhat were we thinking?â We laugh about that one.
How did this collaboration come together?
I started working on a bodywear project more than a year ago. At the time it was just me and my team; there was no collaboration with anybody else. But, H&M heard that I was bringing out a collection and approached us, and it all came together.
How far along were you with your line?
We had product. We were a long way along. We had something physical to show H&M, and as soon as they saw the product they were like, âWeâre in, we want it.â They took our ideas to another level.
Tell me a little bit about the design process. Did you sketch or work with prototypes?
Thatâs one thing about me â everything Iâve ever done, Iâm involved. If I canât be hands-on and totally involved, I donât want anything to do with it. Itâs something Iâve always done throughout my career. I donât want to just give my name to someone to do whatever they want. I think H&M loved the fact that I was totally involved.
I know sheâs got her own fashion career, but did your wife chime in when you were putting this together?
She saw the collection and she saw it on me. She loved it. We all loved it straightaway, because itâs so simple and well done. Sheâs definitely someone whose judgement I trust, and she does have an expertise.
Did you know Calvin Klein started in fashion before he moved on to underwear? Maybe youâll do the reverse: Start in underwear, and then move into fashion.
Who knows? Five years ago, if someone had asked me if I was going to have my own underwear collection I would have said, âProbably not. No.â And if someone had said to me ten years ago that I would be playing soccer and living in America, I would have said the same thing. But plans change, life changes. So, weâll see. I love tracksuits, I already have a collection with Adidas. Maybe in the future something else will happen.
You once said that you wanted to open a fish ânâ chip restaurant.
Was it fish ânâ chips? I think it was a pie and mash shop. But, since youâre an American, you probably donât know the difference.
Now thatâd be a killer business card: footballer, underwear designer, pie and mash â¨shop owner.
And dad. And husband. But, not in that order.

The best thing I know thanks to this interview is the thing that they plan to sell different collections every season! I was at the opening of collection on the 2nd Feb on my local H&M and bought a pair of blacks and whites slips! The paper bags are sold-out now there. Actually, they put clothes in those plastice ones (with D on the them) in a week from the opening. And the slips are sold-out too, of course;) Lucky me.

i think Vic's humour has rubbed off on him along the years, he was never this funny or confident when he was younger, that's so cool, i'm proud of him

Rihanna posted a pic of David's times square billboard with a caption that said something like;
"King kong is still 'hanging' in times square..."

I've read in last week's Heat magazine that the line has been so successful that they've asked him to design suits for H&M as well. Wonder how true that is? I'd love that!

I never thought I'd say this but EW.
The horrible hair, the horrendous mustache, the dreadful tattoos, the awkward pose which makes him look really bloated...there is just nothing right with these pictures.

Re: David's H&M underwear pictures
Am I the only one that thinks he looks even hotter in these new pictures than in the ones from the previous collection?! Saying he looks hot is an understatement actually
I'm not a fan of all those tattoos though.
