So why did Victoria Agree to the Olympics reunion?

So we all know it was Victoria who was holding out for the Olympics reunion for the longest time, & seemed to only agree to do it at the last minute.
She's made it very clear that she has no interest to be a performer or popstar anymore, nor to be involved in music, & wants to focus on fashion.
If you noticed, she didn't sing any solo lines during the performance.
So what is it that made her agree to do the olympics?
She doesn't need the money at all. She agreed to do the 2008 world tour only because she wanted to show her kids that she used to be a popstar.
This time around, her kids have already seen her perform, Harper is probably too young to remember seeing her mom perform,
Was it peer pressure from the fans, friends, Simon, David or fellow band members?
Did Simon sweeten the deal, and raise her offer?
Why did she decide to perform after all?

Pure speculation though, as it is entirely possible that they were going to feature her anyway, but maybe they didn't plan to at first and it might have been a deal she made, we'll probably never know.

It's also a huge honor and a worldwide, iconic event fitting for someone as huge as she is. Even if the designer in her has outgrown the pop star, she still has the latter one too, it's just hiding in that designer's shadow somewhere most of the time

That's a silly speculation. She's not going to be making demands from the BFC, that'd be the end of her fashion career. They've been hugely supportive of her career and the designers they showcased represented the old guard and emerging brands (which they believe she's a part of with her winning brand of the year).

I don't care why she did it, I think she probably didn't feel she had much choice.

But when it came down to it, whether she really wanted to do it or not, she did it, she did it well, and she gave it her all. I thought that spoke volumes. She didn't act like she was there under pressure, and as a fan I really appreciated it. Even her tweets last night and this morning show that she was into it. She did her fans proud.

Because saying no to the opportunity of performing along with such big and respectable music acts in one of the biggest and with more exposure events on the world ever would be mental, even for Victoria Beckham .
Basically this show and the press these days have put on statement that they are pop legends. Who would say no to that? she's not dumb she knows that, it's not like she did some kind of favor, I think down deep she knows she owes everything that she is now to the spice girls , but she has taken better decisions for her career than the others.

She looked so posh and beautiful I love her.

Actually is due to the FANS that got her and the spice girls where they are today! Cause without the fans showing interest in them they would have been five minute wonders. Also i would like to clarify something: Is it me or does Victoria always seem to ask her PA or whoever is with her to sign autographs for the fans? I note the others just go out of their way and do it anyway, but she always seems to ask. Why?

They have always said, "once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl". IMO they might not be an active band, but they are together still, in that they are all managing the Spice legacy together now. Therefore regardless of whether they release new music etc, it's still her job, her business and she will always have a commitment towards it. Look at the reunion tour - Geri called Mel C's bluff and said they would do it with or without her. In the end, she agreed after not wanting to do it initially. Although I'm sure at this point no one called VBs bluff, the same principles apply - she did it because the other 4 wanted to do it. Sometimes in business you go with the majority decision, no matter what you personally think.

Now I'm not saying they could talk her into an album, a tour etc, but in reality she had no genuine reason to say no. We all do things we don't want to in life both at home and at work, and the reality is no one was asking her to become a full time popstar again (no studio sessions, advertising, album to promote, world tour to complete etc).

I heard mel c and emmas duet, forgot the name of it and it sounds brilliant, they can both carry song well and they are the only 2 who i believe have the gift for it. Victoria is best to stay in fashion, Mel B doing Xfactor or whatever it is and Geri well i have no clue what shes doing but the studio is Best left in the past for them now. I dont believe they will ever do any more songs together. The reunion tour went smashingly well and for heavens sake its best to go out with a BANG. If they met up for charities and different things like that it would be great but Not the stage, Give up while you went out with a smashing ending spices. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! $:)

Last minute? Sorry but you don't make 5 London cabs with organized LED lights in 2 days. Judging by how their performance went, and everything that was involved and how they rehearsed for a lot of days (more than any other act) and they sang a properly mixed medley, etc. I can guarantee you that the Spice Girls performance was already signed when they presented the Viva Forever musical.

if they had been a last minute addition, they would've just sang the studio version of 1 or 2 songs with just lights, dancers and maybe fireworks.

I don't think ANY of them was pushing their performance back, they simply couldn't talk about it because they were THE act. I wouldn't even be surprised if Melanie C's angry tweets about the SG not being present on the Olympics soundtrack was just another way of trying to keep the secret as much as they could. We didn't even had a last minute tweet with something like "yes! we're performing tonight!". It seems obvious the organizers knew they Spice Girls would be THE act and wanted to keep the secret for as long as possible.
