Telstar CD-R
I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to VB's material. Now I know the songs leaked edited at first, but did the original unedited versions ever leak widely?

Re: Telstar CD-R
As far as I know there are two different albums: the one with edit versions and the one with some extended songs (not all of them).

Re: Telstar CD-R
^Not all the songs were edited on the fake leak. Some of them were kept as they were. There's no "extended version" of ALL the songs on the fake album.
The original CD-R did leak in a small private group of people and years later it leaked for everyone.
it's just that the first edited songs are also out there so most people who shared the album shared the wrong/fake edited songs.
The original CD leaked in full, session-singer songs included.

Yes, most of the first leak were fan made edits. I believe these are the running times, going by ultimatespice:
1. Open Your Eyes (original: 3:33 / fan edit: 3:20)
2. Hustler (4:05)
3. Flow (original: 3:41 / fan edit: 3:02)
4. I'd Give It All Away (original: 4:07 / fan edit: 3:56)
5. Be With You (3:09)
6. Can't Get Enough - 07 (3:00)
7. Can't Get Enough - DJ (3:01)
8. Can't Get Enough - Vox Up (3:01)
10. 25 Minutes (original: 4:07 / fan edit 3:50)
12. Let Your Head Go (original: 3:24 / fan edit: 3:31)
15. Shake It (3:36)
16. Full Stop (original: 3:23 / fan edit: 2:48)
17. Right Back To You (3:18)
18. Every Little Thing (4:02)
19. I Should Have Known Better (4:14)
20. Bittersweet (original: 4:33 / fan edit: 4:12)

SO annoying someone edited them. And then leaked them in crap quality. Still hoping for a miracle to get all these in Lossless. I hope Victoria will pull a Dannii someday and release it just for the fans.

I had no idea! I have both versions but I always thought they were just different (official) edits. Thanks for the info!

You should be thankful someone anonymous bothered to edit and leak them in first place to avoid troubles with the original CD-R that Victoria's lawyers were after to, otherwise nowadays you wouldn't even know those songs exist and only a reduced number of fans would be enjoying those recordings. Whoever owned the original thing bothered to make some kind of different leak so there would be no proof that he/she leaked the CD-R he/she owned, and that was just so fans could enjoy new VB music.

Re: Telstar CD-R
Are all the leaked tracks in same quality, or some are different?
Cause the ones I have are all similar except for 'Right Back To You' and 'Every Little Thing', which are in lower quality.

I'm so glad that 'my love is for real' leaked though. Afterall, it was supposed to be the comeback single and so much hype on it. This and 'Woman' were two big what ifs. Glad that at least one of them leaked.

The whole promo was posted in a well known place that matters to a lot of us in 2007, but the link is down now.

There were a few other leaks that turned up around the same time (e.g. Let My Hair Down) and I always wondared where they came from

Yes, I was happy My Love Is For Real leaked, but what a let down the song was! It's nice, I like the remix, but it surely doesn't sound like the instant massive hit they made it out to be.

I don't think MLIFR was a "what if" back then because we hadn't heard it. It was just another song title we had among others, with the exception that we knew it had chances of being the next single. We know how Woman sounds like so they're not on the same league.
If anything, if it hadn't leaked MLIFR would be on the same league as C U Next Tuesday, Go Go Go, Treasure, Overnight, Lucky Man (Geri) and many other song titles that have been named over the years... and Woman is on the same league as Mel B's Lip Lock.

I can only recall that one (wich I think comes from the Damo Dash 2003 sessions) and Back To Life (which comes from the VB sessions).

Re: Telstar CD-R
Oh my god Back To Life is so bad it's incredible! I've actually gotten into a VB mood lately and have been listening to a lot of these songs. "Back To You" is brilliance, "Every Little Thing" is a bit cheeeeezy but I love it for the most part, and "Be With You" is just.... YES! So is there any article or anything that kind of explains this time period a bit better? I'm really interested in it. I remember she recorded a dancey album and a n r&b influenced one (right?) and wasn't the AAside supposed to be a 'Let the public decide which album to release' kind of campaign? I'm probably wrong but remember hearing it told that way. So if that's the case (and again, it probably isn't) which songs were meant to be on which album?
And that's the first I heard of BTL being recorded during the VB sessions. So it wasn't meant for the poppier album then? It's all so confusing

Let My Hair Down is not from the Damon Dash sessions, it was made with another UK producer, can't remember which one LOL
