"Back To You" is brilliance, "Every Little Thing" is a bit cheeeeezy but I love it for the most part, and "Be With You" is just.... YES! So is there any article or anything that kind of explains this time period a bit better? I'm really interested in it. I remember she recorded a dancey album and a n r&b influenced one (right?) and wasn't the AAside supposed to be a 'Let the public decide which album to release' kind of campaign? I'm probably wrong but remember hearing it told that way. So if that's the case (and again, it probably isn't) which songs were meant to be on which album?
And that's the first I heard of BTL being recorded during the VB sessions. So it wasn't meant for the poppier album then? It's all so confusing
The pop vs r&b thing was done when she released LYGH and TG and was just a marketing thing to "sell" both songs and to test the waters. But the 2 different albums were the Tesltar one (pop) and the Damon Dash one (r&b/hop hop). LYHG won so she decided to reject the Damon Dash work and kept on doing pop songs (My Love Is For Real). The Tesltar CD-R has r&b songs, but the whole packcage belongs to the "pop" recordings.
Back To Life sounds too dated and too pop for it to be a 2002-2004 song. I'm not sure who are the producers but I think they were the same ones she was workng with on her 1st album and that's how we knew the song was from the VB era. It also sounds a lot like Kylie's stuff on Light Years which came out in 2000, when VB started recording songs for her solo album. So everything fits.

If I'm not wrong it was actually "This Groove" that won, but for some reason they focused on promoting "Let Your Head Go" more, in fact she performed that song much more than the other one.
I might be wrong though, does anyone remember what happened exactly?

If I'm not wrong This Groove won in the TOTP poll, that is why she peformed a few times in the show.

Ok, I just remembered "This Groove" winning somewhere, just wasn't sure where exactly it was. Thanks!

Nope, it's just plain cringe worthy! Whoever decided to put it with the 'Come Together' album must have a screw loose, it doesn't fit in at all!

Back to Life was from 2000 I think, when she was deciding on the direction for her album.

Sounds like something Barry Manilow would put out. If she recorded it in 2000 it's funny to think she went from that to Out Of Your Mind - couldn't be more different, LOL!

Overall, LYHG was seen as the winning song. They even said so somewhere and that's why she stopped working with Damon Dash and included 4 songs on the Real Beckhams dvd. I don't think she performed TG THAT much to be honest. She performed LYHG on World Idol, which had more exposure.

It's such an extreme shame that the Telstar session was not released! It's one of my favorite albums of all time. I absolutely love dark dance tracks like those. I still dream of the day it will be officially released.

This record was something I never expected from Victoria. This album is one of the best Spice solo effort!

Yeah, I just remember hearing "This Groove" was the winner and couldn't understand why she performed "Let Your Head Go" much more than that one. I like them both, but I've always preferred "This Groove", and the Para Beats remix is even better than the radio edit in my opinion.

Victoria would never allow that. She probably is embarrassed that her Vevo keeps popping up on youtube when people watch her fashion videos.
