I'm very proud. So nice that she's doing this, specially considering how busy she is.

I think I just re-fell in love with Victoria Beckham.

Kudos to her for speaking so passionately about a cause which is so important. She really did sound like it means a lot to her.

It's true she does have a voice and a responsibility to use it and people will take heed to her. She's still flying the girl power flag and this cause is an amazing one. Go VB!

(I don't follow her fashion career but will be paying close attention to her new endeavours and support her fully)

^ Your comment reminds me of something i seen today on Twitter that truly made me giggle. So among all those journalists who were present, its a serious event so no Fashion folk there! There was one reporter from AFP (a serious news agency) William Edwards who sent these messages:

Coming up at #UNGA today, more @HassanRouhani, and of course @victoriabeckham. It's not often they're mentioned in same sentence...

Although of course Rouhani did famously do an acoustic version of the Spice Girls' 'Say You'll Be There'.

And my favorite haha:

My 13 year-old self has achieved a key life ambition by seeing new UNAIDS Ambassador Victoria Beckham in the flesh.

There you go! Those that put Spice Girls down dont realize just how much impact they had on a generation of boys and girls. Their success truly was singular, and amazing!

^ It really was a great day, and for us, long term fans as well. Its so fantastic to see her arrive at this moment in her life where she is reaping success and respect, it wasn't always this way. Becoming an ambassador is a true honor, we all know how amazing having the first store is, as well.

She also attended the Every Woman Every Child conference after the introduction event, wish we had more shots form inside:

Good for her, doing her bit for a good cause. However, it was also a masterstroke of PR to open her shop on the same day, giving the media the "Victoria cares so much she even missed her store opening" angle.

She's clearly been coached to say "I love women, I want to empower women, I feel passionately about [fill in the blank]" in every interview she's done over the past few years, be it about her fashion line, or the Spice Girls musical, or whatever. Couldn't help noticing the Cockney accent slip back in after a minute or two when her script ran out. Is Geri still involved in UN work, by the way?

Imagine if she gets a higher honour from the Queen than David in the future....she could have multiple stores worldwide, UN ambassador etc...

^ Lol stop your horses, she just spent only 1 day in the role, i dont think there will be any honors from the Queen for her. And this is not about that anyway, she needs to put the hard work in. Being made an ambassador is a lifetime role, there is a lot of hard work, and traveling ahead of her before she is even remotely taken seriously in this position. Even she said she has so much to learn.

But if there is anyone determined & disciplined to do it, its her. I really hope she has her heart in this. Today she spent all day with prominent people learning, i bet its all daunting. Meeting First Ladies, and prominent political figures is not the same as being around Fashion folk, even the nasty one!
