LONDON 2:15PM: Geri Halliwell was held at gunpoint today by what seemed to be a crazed fan
who demanded she release her music at once! A heavily botoxed Geri wearing hi boots or were
they high socks said "He just came from no where, grabbed me and said that he was sick of
waiting for me to put out my music. When i told him an album was imminent he went all crazy and
held this gun to my head and said 'DO NOT use the words IMMINENT, SOON or ABOUT TO ever AGAIN!'
and then he just took off " The crazy fan is believed to be a member of 'Denden' a popular forum of hers.

When asked when she WAS to release her album Geri simply replied "shortly".

Edgy music like Gang Bang wouldnt work well with her voice imo. It hasnt exactly worked out well for Madonna either, she sounds really cold on it. Just listen to the Maloney remix of Ride It. She needs warm and uplifiting type of music. IMO

Interesting opinion... however being a huge fan of Pop/Dance music, I feel that suits Geri very well with her own styled-way to make it sound right for her. Not having to be a "Gang Bang" song but something that's very enjoyable and completely poppish enough to listen to knowing Geri. As I've mentioned prior, another "Let Me Love You More" pop ballad would be acceptable though for a new album of hers.

I do think there can be a relevant comparison of the two. They both had the same trajectory into fame and since they were in the Spice Girls, it is only natural to look at their careers on a comparative basis. To simply state that they are two unrelated entities is ridiculous. Are the comparisons sometimes ridiculous and out of jealousy? Yes, but they do have a fundamental basis of comparison. I think its interesting to look at how Melanie went about announcing her new project and how Geri did, since they were essentially in the same position; former popstars without labels. Melanie certainly generated a lot of buzz around the album, whereas Geri is keeping quiet and apparently going to enter into the public consciousness again with less build up. I'm intrigued how this will play out for each of them. That being said I think its important to compare them without sinister intent and trying to observe without bias (though this is indeed difficult).

Well of course, they were bandmates so there's always going to be that link and basis for comparisons, but not in the terms of mIGUs intervention. What he said and mostly the way he worded it was just inciting trouble and animosity between fans imo, and he didn't even make any valid point :\

Well... back in 2011 we thought a single would be released but march has come and gone and NOTHING!...not even any news of it!.. and now we hear that she want's to do reality TV I never expected much of this "comeback" and now i expect even less. Seems to me geri has put together this album in her spare time and relying on the success of her book/clothes and if it fails no probs she'll just go back to what she's been doing. I can't see anything but a repeat of passion (if even that) for this so called comeback of hers

Hey don't blame the fans! March was more than reasonable as a guess and that's all it was. The point is here we are april and the waiting continues with no mention of anything music despite an album that was supposedly about to be released, imminent!
