Mel's dad passed away

Postby J73198 » 05 Mar 2017, 17:23

According to her latest instagram post. Probably one of the reasons she's been in Leeds as of late.

Good thing she reconciled with her family.

RIP. Mel speaks really fondly of him in Catching a Fire. He must've been so proud of her achievements. Hopefully they can all build bridges.

So sad I hope she's coping well and yes reconciling with her family. Life's too short.

So terrible. He was so proud of Mel and I'll always remember him talking fondly of her. It truly makes me sad to hear the news and I'm so glad she's rekindled with her family.

So sad for Melanie. However, I am happy to see that she is again on speaking terms with the rest of her family.

It's a shame that it's taken for her dad to become ill and pass away for her to reconcile with the rest of her family. I hope she realises how selfish she's been and doesn't allow this to happen again.

At some point I think some people over here are really crossing lines.

First of all, you know nothing about Mel decisions to take some distance from her family, second it's definetly not up to you to judge anything since it's very private matters, third it's very inapropriate to say such things on such moment and for finish you should know better before opening your mouth and judging people, coz Mel has been in contact months ago with her family as witness that following picture Mel's mum posted on twitter last december.

That's very sad to hear, she spoke really fondly of her dad in her book. It's good to see that she was able to be there with him and her sister when he passed :-( . My dad also passed away from multiple myeloma last year, it's a horrible disease and I hope there's more research for it in the coming years.

You are such an awful and insensitive person. I hope you'll get a warning from Jay.

My condolences to Mel and her family.

I'm sorry you guys have read into my comment than more than it is and maybe I didn't word it very well. She could have had more time with her father but she chose not to due to her ego and now she'll probably feel bad about it forever, just like my dad does with his dad. It's very sad he's passed away and I feel awful for her, but it's also a shame that she couldn't have patched things up earlier. It's not being insensitive, it's just a statement of fact.

I understand that people question Melanie's relationship with her family, but this is not the time or place for it.

I think it was a perfectly apposite comment. It's terribly sad that Mel lost all those years with her dad due to the family feud, and there's nothing she can do now to turn back the clock.
