Honestly, I don't know. I think that because of our countries history most Polish people don't like German national team and of course that fans are afraid of your team because it's much stronger than ours. I think that all those articles and gossips are used just to hype the atmosphere before the game. That's the way it is but I personally like German team and wish them best during this tournament I'm sure that they will be #1 in the group and hope for 2nd place for mu country

They did have most of the play in the beginning of the first half but did nothing but defend in the second half, Austria deserved at least a draw, they were far better. Very deserved victory for Germany. It was a good game, best one this far in the tournament I think, Germany could very well win this. And what a volley from Podolski, brilliant goal! Very nice of him not to celebrate his goals as well.

Germany did well today but I was surprised that Poland couldn't capitalize on their chances. Poland deserved at least a goal. Croatia could have done better. I believe that they underestimated Austria.

did anyone notice that the first goal was offside? i also think that poland would have deserved a goal, they were very good. the whole game was very exciting to watch and quite fast. the last germany games have been very boring! i am very happy about the victory! woohoo

What a match !!!!!!!!

Together with a lot of mates we watched the Germany against Poland game at a bar.
In my opinion it was the best game in the championship so far.
Poland was more than once on the verge of making a scare but thanfully Lehmann could keep them all :-).
