let's just hope they get back in shape by thursday, the game was just fast and nothing else, the quality was fairly poor! :-/

Ooh, i can't wait to see Germany:Portugal.

And congrats to my Croatia for being first in the group with maximum 9 points. And well done to Ivan Klasnić for scoring a goal and being the first player in Euro history with a transplanted kidney.

Maybe a goal, but not a point.
Germany had a couple EXTREMELY clear-cut chances. Like Dennis said, hope they can get their act back together for Portugal; I'd sooner see Germany move on

Congrats to the German team for winning

I am happy that Ballack gets such great comments from a British newspaper :-)

from the 25th minute on austria should have played with only 10 players... this Hoffer person deserved a red card for slapping Poldi in the face out of nowhere - like Schweini. He got a red card for something like this too...

funniest thing was both coaches being sent on the stand :D

chaotic match but we are through the group stage YAY

LMAO, I loved Angela Merkel! When Jogi went off the coaching area to have a seat at the VIP section he stopped and told her what happned and she was just like "Oh yes, yes." :D

How amazing was Michael Ballack's freekick!? And yes I know the Austrian goalkeeper could have stood better bla bla bla but it was still a great freekick! :$

i dont like Angie AT ALL as a politician! but i can cope with her presence at football matches ;) shes always very funny, enthusiastic and it looks so funny when she moves with the ball direction or players. i tell you, one day we will see her on the stand, pretending to kick the ball :D she really enjoys watching the matches!

the 4th ref felt they were arguing too much and getting outside their coaching zones, disturbing the whole thing (while our coach löw said they just wanted to make use of the space as usually allowed, haha)

but löw didnt leave his coaching zone, it was hickelsberger who went towards his coaching zone. and they were clearly arguing, not just "using the space as allowed"

LOL, the 4th man was deffo using his power too much. How sick is it to tell an Austrian player shortly before the game to take the white tape off and use red tape? I'm sorry that's absolutely ridiculous. And the UEFA should explain why they've appointed a Slowenien 4th man for the game who doesn't understand English. I'm sorry, but that's absolutely stupid. :death:

I never said I like Angela Merkel as a politician. :p But I love how she's always jumping and partying with the German team. :D Unlike Stoiber she's really into football and not only pretending.

Martin Harnik is such a *peep*. First he's saying "German players are already pissing their pants" and now he's saying "I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Germany". Martin, just leave it. :despise:

Jogi should replace Gómez by Poldi. Schweini can play the position Poldi had during the past games. I hope Poldi's injury isn't too serious!
