I gotta say when Phelps swims .. it seems so effortless and easy. He's truly very talented.

^Same. It literally gave me chills just watching it. I found that I could watch replays of it like thousands of times and the chills had the same effect each time.
It's a truly amazing emotional experience.

sour grapes?
the end of the day the britain touched the side first therefore meaning we won!!!!!
yay!
the usa have enough medals now!!
Hey now, I'm Canadian not American. I was just commenting on how close it was. I'm actually glad Britain won the gold in that race

I get all emotional, too. It's funny, bc I don't usually take an interest in sports, and my patriotism tends to waver, but I get really worked up about the Olympics.
Phelps is so amazing, really incredible. He's really getting me interested in watching the swimming, which I used to not care about so much.

I think its the music along with all the emotion and hard work they all put into this that makes it so emotional for us.

It seems no one meantioned her before so I am doing it: Britta Steffen!! Won the second gold medal for us today after not winning any in swimming for 16 years. She's done us more then proud cause the rest of the team pretty much sucked.

Oh man, that race was so freakin close, another 0.01 of a second (Phelps-Cavic repeat)! Dara Torres came soooooo close. That was exciting to watch.
