0-0 ft. Really tight match and D.C. had much better chances.

At least they got something from the match. It was a rain soaked game too.

and they've gotten to where they are without David. Hmmm, interesting. It's almost if they decided to play better just to spite him.

Re: MLS Thread
Crappy game last night. i almost won 100 euros, i said LA would 1-0 with a David goal at the 89th minute (damn Josh Wicks).
I wouldn' get too excited about the playoffs yet, they may be 2nd, but they played 3 mores games than some teams behind them (3 more than chivas, 1 more than Seattle and 3 more than Colorado).
With only a 5 points gap between them and Colorado.

Re: MLS Thread
Last season Real Salt Lake made the playoffs with 40 points after the total of 30 games was played. So far LA have 35 points from 23 games. 8 teams last season made the playoffs, there was 14 in the whole MLS.
If they keep getting points and most importantly string a few more wins together they should make the playoffs.

The team is much better and definately not the same. I think David and Landon are the only starters from the last 2 years. Too lazy to check the list. I knew Bruce would improve the team but we have to see how they deal with pressure in the playoffs, if they make it.

Thanks for the pics Lah. Hope they can make the playoffs.
He went to the L2 Lounge in Georgetown after the game. He was of course "all smiles" while completely surrounded by female fans.

Re: MLS Thread
edit: FORGET IT, THIS IS OLD!

That's right, Beckham dined out at Sequoia's in full view of a city that filled RFK stadium just to see the injured player hobble onto the field. One might feel sorry for America's new acquisition as he tried to eat dinner with friends, including former Olympic star Kobe Jones, while being inundated with requests for photo ops. Thankfully he took the attention in stride and even smiled when Lisa Audi, Kelly Caraway, and Kelly Price asked him for a photo.
"He was really nice about it. We were asked not to bother him by the bouncers, but we just couldn't resist", said Lisa Audi. "I think we got there just in time because after we got our picture the bouncers shooed the mob of girls away and let him eat in peace".
A guy at our table commented about the "star sighting" saying that it's a big deal for us when a celebrity is seen in DC. "We see Congressmen all the time, but it's not like New York or LA where seeing a celebrity is a fairly common occurance".

LA Galaxy 1 - 0 Chivas USA
David scored (min 80) and what a f*cking brilliant goal it was!
Almost got an assist at the end of the match but the goalkeeper blocked Donovan's shot
And ooh shirtless David interviewed after the match
I should've recorded this

They have 2 home games in the next 3 weeks, if they win those that is enough for a playoff place.
