Your Skincare Routine

Postby Galore » 16 Nov 2009, 20:37

Taking care of ones skin is really key... so what do you do to keep it looking the best it can?

My routine goes something like:

A.M
Wash with Kiehl's Cleanser
Use Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant
Moisturize with Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Moisturizer

P.M
Wash with Kiehl's cleanser
Massage face with Decleor's Neroli oil (which, even though it's an "oil" really balances my complexion... it's AMAZING!)

A few times a week at night: Use a vitamin mask and overnight, a special lotion that my dermatologist created which is deeply exfoliating overnight. Its a magical cream.

I haven't really changed my routine since I was 13 but maybe I should look into other products.

AM
Wash with Garnier Detoxifying Exfoliation Wash
Use Garnier Facial Toner

PM
Wash with Garnier Detoxifying Exfoliation Wash
Use Garnier Complete Cleansing Milk

I use St.Ives Apricot Scrub to exfoliate the rest of my body.

And that's it.

 Thanks.

That's probably only because I wear makeup a total of three times a year...maybe. And then it's some eye shadow, some mascara, and some lipstick. No foundation, blush (or whatever it's called these days), or anything else I know nothing about. :p

I'm kind of all over the place. I usually never use the same stuff....

I have really, ridiculously oily skin, but sometimes it can feel really dry/itchy even when it's oily. I DON'T UNDERSTAND MY FACE.

The Neroli oil I use on my face at night is a GODSEND... my skin was all over the place, no rhyme or reason. Oily here, dry there, oily in the morning dry at night, and vice versa.

I`ve been using it for 3 weeks, and my skin has been normalized and balanced. It isn`t shiny EVER... it`s glowy all the time and the dry patches are gone. I`m pretty amazed, and can safely say that I`ve found my Holy Grail. I hope that it doesn`t stop working!

Wash morning and night with Clearasil face wash and then I put on Clinique moisturizer, once a week I use St. Ives apricot scrub, an avocado and mint mask and about once a month a nose pore cleanser strip.

Hey :)

I am revisting this useful post as I have been focusing on my skin care regime lately.

Quick Q Erin, do you use Kiehls cleanser to remove your make up? Or another product first? I have been using my cleanser to remove my make up. Is this a no go??

AM
Clean and Clear morning burst
Aveda hydrating lotion

PM
Neutrogena fomaing pads
Aveda hydrating lotion

I use cheap crap (except for the Aveda) but I don't really get breakouts that often, my skin is just super super dry and sweating does NOT help my face at all so soccer kills it sometimes in the summer. :dizzy:

AM
Acne facial cleanser
Aveda All Sensitive toner
Some Acne facial lotion that Avon makes

PM
Pore cleaning foam
Aveda All Sensitive toner
Same acne facial lotion that Avon makes :p

And both in the AM and PM, I use Cleocin-T gel to control the acne. I also take an oral skin-based acne anti-biotic for my acne. It's really out of control!
