H&M are going to start selling clothes online-yay!

I thought they already did that everywhere?
They already do it here for 4 years.

Well you can't buy an the Canadian site, I tried. You can only see the most of the clothes (or is that all, I'm not sure) in the dress up manequin things but you can't buy them online.

On an other note, I had a discution with my grandma about nail polish. She tought you need to match (same color) your nails and toenail. I'm pretty sure you don't have to but it has to be 2 colors that goes together. Who's right?

^^ Sosmetimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on my mood and the outfit.

I think classically and traditionally you should, but as times change it has become acceptable not to.

That's just my opinion though!

Lol my grandmother said the same thing last week. I agree with you.. As long as the colours match together.

I looked on google, and the Netherlands was one of the first countries who could buy online at the H&M site. I never knew that :)

What is the best kind of make up remover? Wipes wise... because I've been using Ponds and my face is breaking out in sores. :(

It's easy just to wipe the foundation/blush/powder off my face than what it is to wash my face! :p

A nylon brush can give you a more streaky effect, while the sponge softens the application a bit. I personally think sponges soak up A LOT of product unnecessarily. I always apply it with my fingers-- greater control and it looks more natural-- plus you can layer it to give you heavier coverage if need be.

Thank you!

Haha. Well, I'm sure you know that washing your face is much better for you than using wipes-- plus much cheaper! I don't know which are good, and which aren't though.

^ Id suggest never using simple wipes. I used to have some for after a night out when i CBA but I had terrible exzma and acne after a few uses. Garnier sensitive used to be good but they have changed it and added scented stuff now so i've not tried them yet. although tbf, Id say you should probably get some eye makeup remover. I dont like "washing" my face as in filling up the sink and splashing water everywhere, i tend to get soaked, lol. but I find using cream cleansers/toners and wet cotton wool/flanel works just as well if not better.

anyway, Im on a hunt to change my wardrobe a bit and need some advice. basically, i have huge shoulders, average bust, average waist (not a fab belly) and HUGE thighs/hips/bum. these are the rules Ive come up with so far...

Bottom half

Bootleg trousers to balance out hips/shoulders
Dark colours on the bottom
Avoid pocket detail which widens the hip
Avoid skinny jeans unless with a pair of calf/knee high boots
Leggings- don’t even go there!!!

Top half

Avoid spaghetti straps, cap sleeves and halternecks which make shoulders and arms look HUGE and flabby!
Âľ sleeves are the best look. Lengthen torso and covers flabby arms!
Necklines that fall open to reveal some skin and take emphasis away from the shoulders. V-neck is good but not too low or it emphasises the miniscule boobs!
Longer tops lengthen torso but cant end on the bum because its huge!
Wear darker colour to match trousers to give the impression of height
Tops that are fitted under the bust are good

Jackets

Wear longer-length jackets with small rounded collars (never going across the shoulder)

ok, anyone see any mistakes or have anything else to add? I keep trying to do this but always get it wrong. Im currently in love with this pair of jeans and wear them ALL the time. I need to get a new pair. lol.

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/sto ... omen~Jeans

they are comfy AND seem to flatter my figure.

anyway, one last thing. what tshirts do you all think? I have something in my head that i cant seem to find anywhere. you know how boys tshirts have actual sleeves... how come girls ones dont. they all seem to stop just under my armpit, but i want them to stop sort of half way down my bicep to cover up my flabby shoulders. David and goliath are the closest Ive seen but even they are a little short. I thought about just buying small boys shirts but they just have NO shape. I do quite like the ralph lauren polo shirts. where they have sleeves AND are quite long as well as fitted, but they are a little pricey.

what does everyone think?

Steph - POND'S makes really good face wipes but like people have said, it's better to wash your face so what I do is wipe my makeup off with the wipes then wash my face because I don't have to scrub as hard to get rid of the makeup since the wipes get rid of it already.

Thanks, Michelle! I was using Almay and then an off-brand of POND's because it was cheaper. Looks like cheaper isn't always better. lol

Even if you just rinse your face after using the wipe, that would be better.

White hair question

Postby FiaSpice » 02 Oct 2010, 04:11

I've always heard that white hair are irreversible, one it's white it's white forever unless you dye it. I recently noticed I have hair that the bottom half is white and the top (root) part is brown. Does that mean I can reverse the white hair in some way?

I know this is bad and I probably shouldn't do it, but... I pull out my sporadic gray hairs. And I never notice if they grow back in gray or not. lol Eventually I'm going to have to stop. :-/

I did that when I was 16-19, but now I have way to much to do that. I've read on the net that B12 deficiency can cause white hair, I wonder if that's true.

Have any of you ever been on Benziclyn (sp?). It's a prescription acne topical lotion. Nothing I seem to do helps. I was on a topical lotion awhile ago, but it wasn't that. It helped quite a bit, so maybe I'll ask my doctor about going back on it.

I'm just sick of the zits and blackheads.

I was wondering what people thought of (semi?) permenant false eyelashes. I want some medium ones (not too long-this is more about the volume for me) and I think I will be able to apply them myself. I found lots of glue but its from China and I really want to make sure I get a reputable brand after my BF made tons of jokes about me putting superglue on my eyes and scared me!

Are they safe? A good idea? Even if they only last a week I would be happy!

Steph, never used it... but it can't hurt trying it out.

KB, my BFF used them for her wedding, but got them done professionally. She liked them but only for a short time... I didn't know you could do them yourself?!

I heard that too actually.

I've been dying my hair since I was 11 or 12 so I have no clue if I even have any grey hairs. My mom says she did by the time she was my age?

However I don't have any wrinkles at all and my mom had wrinkles by my age too.

I don't have wrinkles too (well a little under my eyes but it's nothing). I used to have pefect skin (even as a teen, I never ever had acne) but now I'm starting to have brown spot which I guess it's due to the sun and maybe genetic since my mom has a lot. I'm sure I can partially be genetic too those things.

But when I went to the SAQ (liquor store) the girl there ID-ed me. I was quite flatered since sometime people thinks I'm 29-30 :dizzy:

Are smudge pots good for putting on eyebrows? I know that sounds weird, but I saw some one doing a make up tutorial and saw them using it as liner. And I thought, "hmmm, would this do the same for brows"? Just curious. haha
