Because it was planned as a forthcoming single. She performed a selection of hew new 21 songs late last year and 'Someone Like You' was one of them. She also said that 'Someone Like You' was her favourite song from the new album.

Just because an artist has a certain song in the charts doesn't necessarily mean they're going to perform it at the Brits. I think she wanted to sing a ballad, seeing as it is such a big night for British music.

I would say her music "isn't for everyone" but I think she's proved that theory incorrect with her insane chart reign!

Hehe, well I've loved The Overtones for a while now. I posted a topic about them a while ago too. They actually did a rendition of "Who do you think are" that was posted in the Spice Girls forum. How do you know Lachie? I love him, he seems very fun to be around and has one of the best bass-voices I've ever heard.

They also did a cover of "Only girl in the world" by Rihanna that I LOVE.

She's 22! She's the same age as Taylor Swift and Adele's music is FAR more mature than hers.

I met Lachi a few months ago, we were introduced by a common friend of ours. He came to see a few plays that we did in our theatre and we became friends. I havent seen him in a while cos we are both busy all the time, but we even spent last christmas eve together.

He is a very warm person and so much fun to be around, I am proud he is so sucessful at the moment :)

She's been Number 1 for 11 weeks on the UK chart, the longest chart reign EVER by a female Artist in history even beating Madonna.

The album has sold nearly 2 million copies in around 2.5 months in the UK alone, already.

Someone Like You is already within one of my favourite songs of all time. It's so moving. The BRITS performance was so emotional and fragile. Hell, she cried at the end. I love Adele. I'm desperate to see her but I can't get tickets because they're so fucking expensive on eBay.

i totally love adele, starting from her first single.

have to say i was dissapointed with the new album though, although ever listening to it now: gooooooood! what a fantastic album! can't stop listening to it.

i went to see her in concert earlier this month. She was funny and her singing was flawless and amazing. TOO amazing, it was like too perfect so it got a bit boring i have to admit. perfection is boring. she never missed a note, no new arrangements, no surprises, no unexpected covers or ... nothing. just like putting on the cd...

fav's of the album
'19'
Cold shoulder (abs fav), Hometown, to make you feel my love

rolling in the deep, don't you remember, take it all, turning tables, someone like you

Adele did it again!

Postby SpiceRider » 08 Sep 2011, 01:51

After performing Someone Like You at an Award, the VMA's, she tops the Hot 100... just like she did in Britain this spring after performing the same song at the Brits

Oh the American lag! I just can't stop thinking about the SG...
Those were the times...
