I love Nadine but miss the person she used to be she's more concerned with how she looks than her talent which sucks and Cheryl, I like her but I'm bored, the only who does look good to me right now is Nicola... Sarah is a wreck and I don't see much of Kimberley.

Girls Aloud Hold Top-Secret Reunion Meeting With Nadine Coyle

Girls Aloud stars Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh reportedly came face-to-face with Nadine Coyle for the first time in almost three years yesterday.

The girls had apparently not seen their Irish bandmate since they went on hiatus in 2009, but held a top-secret meeting yesterday to discuss plans for the group's reunion.

"The girls have been trying to organise a meeting for months but have been so busy with solo projects," a source told The Sun. "They were really excited to see each other - even though Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley meet up regularly.

"They haven't seen much of Sarah recently following her stint in rehab and Nadine has been out of the picture living in LA. Nadine was eager to speak to the girls face-to-face to ensure there is no bad blood."

Cole is due to release her third solo album this summer, before the girlband reunite for a comeback tour in 2013 to mark their ten-year anniversary. They were formed on Popstars: The Rivals and instantly topped the Christmas charts in December 2002.

Since disbanding, Cole has gone on to release two chart-topping LPs and score a solo No. 1, 'Fight For This Love', that outsold every song in the band's back catalogue. Coyle's solo album stalled outside the Top 40, and Roberts' LP Cinderella's Eyes was named as one of The Guardian's Albums of the Year in 2011.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall during that meeting!

I'm surprised these talks would be going ahead before Cheryl's even released her album, but that's just my guess. But then again I know nothing of how long it takes to organize an event like this so who knows :P

I love that they pictured the girls solo endevours as 1) Cheryl the most commercially sucessful, 2) Nadine, the biggest flop and 3) Nicola, the critically acclaimed

But surely Nicola's the biggest flop though? Yes she was critically aclaimed at the same time and it's a great album and all, but if I remember correctly the album only sold around 15,000 copies of CE? And Nadine sold 13,000? (I think I might have read this on another forum..) But if Nicola can only sell 3,000 more than Nadine with full major label support and 3 singles then I think Nadine's in the better position by going it alone with the help of a supermarket!

Depends how you measure success. The fact that Nicola had critics' and industry acclaim puts her in a better position to be picked up again by either a major label or to carry on as an underground artist - not commercially successful but with respect and artistic integrity. A lot of artists do that and it suits them fine.

Nadine, however, had neither. So she is technically the biggest flop.

^^that's what I meant, and that's the general feeling us - and the media - get from the Nadine X Nicola situation.

I would definetly say Nicola was the bigger failure

Nadine went up against Cheryl so I guess thats why the media picked up on her failure more.

I think Nicola , as mentioned above, was a bigger failure. People expected Nicola to do a lot better, while there was some kind of anger against Nadine because she was distant to the other girls.

Had Javine been part of the band, it would have been a short-lived band.

Can't see how she could've been part of the group, she was good as a solo. A trashy Bitch but fun

Cheryl confirmed on Radio 1 that something is planned for Girls Aloud around November

Just read it on the DM website and it really annoys me how they use the Coldplay concert picture. I understand it was their last performance as a group but the styling was TERRIBLE!

Something planned for November? does this mean a 2013 tour is still in the pipeline or just some TV special to be aired in November?
