Rearranging the forums - YOUR INPUT IS NECESSARY!

We should vote like which forum/s would you like to stay or which forum/s that needs to go. I think it's a great idea don't you think?

I rarely go outside of the Spice Girls,solo spice and marketplace forums so as long as they stay the same I don't mind.

Can I suggest you take a look at the PopJustice forums. I think their layout of the forum works really well...

So you could have;

POP (all posts releated to current pop acts/groups/chart music/new releases)
Q&A (any forum questions/queries/issues)
Gone But Not Forgotten (related to acts of the past who aren't currently recording)
Pop retail (people selling/exchanging/bidding)
Off Topic (everything bar music/TV/Film basically just random chat)
TV (TV shows)
Film (current films, trailers etc.)
YouTube (share funny videos, own youtube vids, etc)

Oh I suppose you'll have to keep the Spice Girls section as it is otherwise people would be upset.
I do agree though - Instead of having 6 individual forums, make it one Spice Girls forum with 5 sub-forums.

I only view small talk as the majority of stuff (even about artist whos have sub forums) is posted there

But small talk is for "small" talks and is going to be converted into extended infinity artist talks? I known it does sounds easy to only follow 1 topic for your favorite artist, but for me as a non fan of some of them I find it hard to find things if everything is going to be in a messy long post, I think the best way to clean up denden would be to merge all the artist forums that don't any activity from a long time into one big music forum and leave the others that do get activity as they are now and enforces the fans to use their respective subforums instead of the small talk, or create the long talk suforum and move there all those topics

Thanks for asking us. The current situation in Small Talk has been bugging me and I can see that some forums are underused. I would probably go for something like this:

The Hub
Small Talk
Keep this for general conversations, pretty much as it is but no artist-specific topics. This would require tougher moderation to enforce this. Ditch the 'News' sub forum; there is no reason why general news cannot be in Small Talk.

Support & Suggestions
Keep as it is; except I would make 'Test' a sub forum inside here (if it is needed at all?!)

I like the one topic per artist idea. Many other forums use it and it works great. I'd be happy if we can do it like this too.

I quickly scanned some posts and didnt see this idea but im guessing it probably wouldnt be very popular.

anyway, I see denden as a little dead lately. I think maybe the idea of being less organised and having more topics about artists in small talk might help with the traffic a bit. The same topics seem to trend forever on smalltalk. All anyone talks about is their latest picture, what made/ruined their day and other stuff like that. I think maybe by merging quite a few of the topics, maybe fashion (but keeping the key threads open for chatter) and lifestyle and some of the music things into smalltalk it might bring back more community here. like people will be more likely to slip into other artists topics if there is a particularly interesting headline.

I might be way off ball here, but I am just thinking of the olden days when everyone would have mass debates (dont say that too fast but big groups could form. which obviouslt has bad points too but it had some spirit.

although Id like to petition to keep parenthood open... I dont want too much of Deedles DEElightfully DEEtailed ott threads in small talk haha!

Also, we could always sticky a few topics like the fashion/lifestyle/news at the top so people can see it.

I think we should get rid of some of the music forums. Not the active ones, obviously. And keep Fashion & Beauty even though there are a few that post in there. It's resourceful for me as well as other people who post in that forum. Also the Movies & Television forum. I LOVE THAT FORUM!

Spice Girls and solo forums of course
Pop/rock music forum
Art forums with the subforums like in GAM (Girls Aloud Media) for eg sigs/avatars design.
Fashion and Beauty (I don't post on there)
Games

And get rid of the forums that people don't posts anymore like Kylie and Dannii forum, News, Christina Aguliera and keep Girls Aloud and The Saturdays forums too.

I'm 98% of the time in Small Talk because I don't care to go to the Spice Girls' (or other artists) subforums and see topics like:
- "How World Up should look like" 14 years after it was released
- "When Was The Last Time She Wore Her Pigtails?"
- "Map of Geri's Travels"
- "View first unread post Which Song Should Have Been Released, from 'Open Your Eyes'"
- "View first unread post What's your fave video from Reason? "

And so on.....
I know there's almost nothing new to discuss, but it bores me to death... same with the "I MADE A COVER FOR THE ALBUM/SINGLE!!"

I think having big topics for Xtina (no pun intended), Britney, Lady Xerox and Hagdonna is fun because it keeps all the latest news in just one clean topic instead of making a lot of topics in the subforums like "WHAT DO YOU THINK XTINA ORDERS WHEN SHE GOES TO TACO BELL???" or "PICS OF BRITNEY LEAVING A STARBUCKS FOR THE 4842418TH TIME!"
