Well did you expect her to say she would go back? at that point she was trying to carve a career outwith the band as an individual so it woudn't be in her interests to say she'd consider going back.

I can not STAND Walters. She's so overrated as a "journalist". I had a bit of respect for her until I started watching The View every day. She's a catty little woman who is just as vicious as the rest of them. So annoying but I love Joy Behar so I stick it out.

I miss her. So sad to have seen the biggest, most inspiring pop star of the 90's let the best years for a pop career go away. Even if she comebacks, she is almost in her 40s now. A whole decaded lost.

Well in Canada (and USA I would guess) she was often refered as "Sexy Spice" instead of "Ginger Spice

i rememer during the reunion (whether it was in the press conference or in interviews) she mentioned the marriage thing again and one or some of the girls said something like "oh no, the marriage thing again" or something like that as a joke... i laughed so hard

yes, i have that magazine and she's called Ginger/sexy spice...
however also on the italian pepsi cans, on the FACT FILE infos, her nickname is SEXY SPICE instead of ginger

I always thought TOTP magazine had originally intended to call her 'Sexy Spice', but it was deemed to rude for young fans and then she renamed Ginger Spice?

Most of '97 I thought she was called Sexy Spice. I always just assumed the Americans changed it cause "Ginger" wasn't really something they called the red heads that often back then. Could've been wrong, idk.

Yeah I think calling a redhead 'Ginger' is a very British thing, so in other languages it probably would've been hard to translate and in America it wasn't widely used, but whenever I've heard an American celeb talk about them, they always say 'ginger'.

I sincerely wonder how many times Barbara Walters has started her interviews with "...and he/she wasn't a bit like what I expected". Great segment, though. Geri was really smart and quick-witted in her interviews during this time.

Oh...and about the Ginger/Sexy Spice thing... I'm an American and I was never under the impression that her name was "Sexy Spice". For one thing, the US album release came with an extra little page in the booklet that served as a survey you could mail in for your favorite Spice. All five nicknames were in there including 'Ginger'.

I could see where some publications and some of the merchandise could've gotten it wrong by mistake, but I really don't think Simon and the girls ever intentionally marketed her as 'Sexy Spice'.

^ That's what we're saying, Sexy Spice was given to her by other media, the girls never used it. I did read at the time that Geri was quite adamant about not being called that because she didn't like it.

IDK, I was like 11 back then so my brain is a bit foggy. Just how I seem to remember it. I do remember the little mailer that came with "Spice". I got it on casette (JESUS) and I remember trying to match the faces in the booklet to the order they were listed on the mailer. I was so mad at myself coz I thought Mel C was Mel B and was like "GOD! I voted for the one with the AFRO!!!!111!!1!1!" when I found out
