Rearranging the forums - YOUR INPUT IS NECESSARY!

Here's my forum outline suggestion

DenDen
- Small Talk (Small talk, News, Current Events, Sports, Movies, TV, Travelling, etc - basically the same as now except NO music related topics)
- Support & Suggestions (same as now)

Spice Girls
- Spice Girls (same as now)
- Emma Bunton (same as now)
- Geri Halliwell (same as now)
- Melanie B (same as now)
- Melanie C (same as now)
- Victoria Beckham (same as now)

Music
- Music (General music forum - one topic per artist, per project (new album, new single, new tour, new show, etc), like the artist topics we have in ST now. Click here for reference)
- Marketplace (same as now but for all artists, not just the Spice Girls)

Life (these forums would only be visible to registered members with over a certain amount of posts, like 100 for example)
- Love & Sex (same as current L&S forum)
- Issues (personal issues and advice seeking that you don't feel confortable posting in ST)

Forum
- Archive (same as now + all the newly extinct forums, all locked)

I agree, but for the fans who like threads where you can rank albums/create a dream setlist etc, there should maybe be a separate forum for that? Otherwise it would all go from the individual topics!

Or maybe just have a general thread per artist for those kinds of things?
For example, you could have a "General Madonna discussion" topic to rank albums, create setlists and discuss anything unrelated to any particular Madonna project. And then you'd have the "Madonna - M.D.N.A." topic to discuss everything related to the album. Eventually when the album promotion would be finished, the topic would naturally fall down and fans would go back to the general discussion thread until a new project would come along for which a new topic would be created.

So is DenDen really just a Spice Girls forum with extras?
I'd be interested to know if that is how it was intended? For me, although I enjoy them I am not a HUGE fan so it's a little frustrating people are saying the forum should be all about SG.

Yep, and it really shouldn't... I'm not a huge Spice fan anymore either, but we're the biggest (only?) Spice community out there, it's what sets us apart from other music forums where no one cares about the girls.

I do too. If I go to this thread via the "your post" I can't post in it, there's no quote, reply or report button. I can only post if I got via the Small Talk forum.

I don't like how the topics are set out in Small Talk really. Like with the Britney one at the moment - it just says X Factor USA or whatever - what if i want to post a particular album/song or something like that? The title implies it is just for talk about her judging duties.

The title isn't meant to imply that you can only post about her being an X Factor judge. It's just to show what she's currently up to. It's still her general thread! Same with the other music threads.

All of them had previous out-dated titles (Madonna new single Give Me All Your Luvin, for example), so it was just to update them.

Fair enough. I wasn't sure if the forum was originally a SG one or not. Now I know!!

I think it would make more sense just to have a 'Britney Spears' thread rather than naming it 'X-Factor... ' because it does imply to the casual reader that it's a whole topic about that one subject. Whereas if it was just labelled as 'Britney Spears' it would make sense that anything Britney-related could be posted there.

I do still think all the solo spice girls sections should be subsections of the SG section rather than separate.

Spice Girls and solo's should stay (i think i say this every time) like it is. And... we saw how busy it was during the reunion
