Y'know. Howard's die-hard fans claim he's one of the best interviewers in the biz. But. I don't know. Maybe I'm just not giving him enough of a chance, but I always find his interviews to be just single-minded and vile.

He was quite a bit nastier with Geri than he was with Emma, if I remember correctly. I remember him asking Emma what age she lost her virginity, but it certainly didn't go as far as explaining to Geri what he'd do to her in bed.

I think Geri handled it as well as can be expected. She just shouldn't have said anything about a lesbian fling to begin with. Bringing that up in front of Howard is like telling details of your personal life to Hannibal Lector. Once he's got a taste of something salacious, he won't stop driving at it until he gets more.

By the way, has anyone heard the Howard Stern interview he did with the Spice Girls back in 1997?

I know it happened, but I have no idea what was said. I'm curious about it. I remember him bringing up that interview during Emma's segment years later. Howard told Emma the group had been awful to interview and Geri annoyed the hell out of him by constantly shouting 'girl power'.

howard might be controversial and fun at times but it's like his WHOLE interview revolved around sex...

and i'm fine with sex, i loved hearing bits of info but after a while it's like, OK, ask another thing...

i also think geri handled the interview really nice and knew where to draw the line despite being pushed... i don't think there was anything wrong about recognizing her lesbian thing... BUT i agree, it was bad in front of him... well, not bad, but he kept goin on and on and on...

i heard that bit about emma... he said something like "so u lost ur virginity at 16"... and she was like "so you did ur research"... and then he said something like "so u were swallow spice" and she kind of laughed/stopped/felt uncomfortable and said something like "i thought u weren't gonna be this rude to me"...

Never seen this Howard Stern but jesus had a good laugh! Geri handled herself well - questions didn't seem to fluster her at all!
Was hoping to find out what she did and who with he sure pressed it enough but geri just wouldn't give and i reckon it's because of this interview why she went crazy with the bunnies the next year

I think Howard & Robyn are sweeties. Artie is absolutely obnoxious though. I used to watch Howard every night when I was a kid and my mom would yell at me to turn it off...I learned a lot lol. I think anyone going into his show is warned & knows what to expect, which is why some people refuse, but I like it for what it is.

Howard Stern is so not funny and the interview he did with Emma proved him to be a paedophile too asking her when she developed, clearly showing a sexual interest in her when she was 13. In most countries he would lose his job talking about that. In others he would end up in jail

Totally agree. I can deal with the whole lesbian Spice sex, wearing no panties and so on. But talking to Emma about when she started to develop physically as a 13 year old girl and how the boys lusted after her at that age and the milkman's daughter fantasy with blowjob jokes. Seriously that's not funny, that's a man who should seek treatment cause he has a real and potentially dangerous problem. Who actually pays that guy?
