Re: MLS Thread
Big woo, he was also there to celebrate Harper's birthday with family in England. There is no rule that suspended players must be with the team, it's not like it is a championship final.

Not sure if that was what it was about, maybe someone who watched the game knows more but that's what I read. I agree though, what the players do on their spare time is up to them

Re: MLS Thread
Actually when the player does something as stupid as what he has done, they usually get sanctioned by their team, not awarded with days off.
But I think is possible Galaxy already gave him one game off to go to England, he just didn't expect to have to miss two.

If Galaxy thought it was worthy of him to be punished more they would have done it. He was suspended and fined. Unfortunately there isn't much they can do when players are suspended, they have unexpected time off, can't expect them to just sit at home.

Re: MLS Thread
I was wondering the same if he had the permission to go to Lodnon anyway even without the suspension. ( I quess there was a hole different plan as they were expecting him to play for the olympics.) Normaly if a player got suspended he still has to train but maybe this days off were already planned bevor he has behaved so stupid. So he got a punishment which not really had punished him lol

Due to Olympics, David Beckham in Doubt for MLS All-Star Game and Beyond
Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham could be out for the upcoming friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur and the MLS All-Star Game.
Beckham's not injured but instead about to go to London to be an Olympic ambassador for Great Britain. Beckham was hoping to be included in the Team GB roster for the soccer tournament in the games but did not land one of the three over-age spots.
Beckham continues to sound dejected about not making the team. "Of course, I'm disappointed, but life goes on. My family are healthy, I'm pretty healthy, so at the end of the day, I'll be there to support the Great Britain team. We've got some incredible athletes all the way through every event. It's going to be a proud moment to be there and know I was part of bringing the Olympics to the East End of London."
Beckham was recently selected by fan vote to be in the MLS All-Star First XI on July 25 when the All-Stars take on Chelsea. Beckham said about that match, "At the moment, I don't know [if I will have to miss the All-Star Game]. I'm obviously very proud to have been picked for the All-Star team. It's something that I've enjoyed in the past, and hopefully I can be there, but with the Olympic commitment, I don't know yet."
The Tottenham friendly takes place on July 24 at Home Depot Center, just one day before the All-Star Game at PPL Park on the other side of the country. The Olympics Opening Ceremony is on July 27 and the competitions continue until Aug. 12. Unfortunately for our side, Beckham might not just miss the one friendly. Depending on his ambassador duties, which are still apparently not set, Beckham could potentially miss three MLS matches.
As a Galaxy fan, I anticipated Beckham making the British team and missing time during the summer so this news about the potential matches missed isn't shocking. However, I think most fans would have also thought the team would be in better shape in the standings at this point of the season.

Thanks for the links Lynzi.
Nice to wake up and see that he has scored twice. Oh and they have won 5:3 wow.
It seems he always needs to be put down before he is on his best.
Post game interview. Is it just me or does he looks a little gaunt?

He does look thinner, but I don't think the face fuzz helps.
Always makes your face look thinner.

It looks like the roses he did for their 10th anniversary, so im guessing its because of their 13th anniverssary. As we know him he probably has 13 roses. It´s cute, but he needs to stop! lol
