Fair play. I understand it was offensive, but it needed to be said. As Madonna says, "I have no regrets".

Btw, I got two PM's regarding it - that doesn't mean I was warned twice, does it?

Whomever PMed you did so as themselves, and not as part of the team decision.

And as a personal note from me, I appreciate your willingness to accept the warning.

It'd been a long, tiring day and the users involved were clearly trying to get a reaction, which sadly I gave. Maybe I could have said things a bit more nicely, but never mind.

FWIW I think it was totally called for, yes you could have been more PC, but they kinda were asking for it, too bad it ended with a warning for you :-(

Just butting in to say I surely wasn't trying to get a reaction from anyone, but oh well, guess it's just an excuse.

To be clear, it's never "totally called for" to throw personal insults to other users on DenDen.

Both parties were only arguing about Madonna & Lady GaGa; when you think about it that's quite an inane conversation at best, so there was absolutely no need for the discussion to turn into attacks/insults.

You see, that says it ALL. Also, when you're trying to make a point and all you get is "You're deluded, piss off, get fucked" and stupid gifs you kind of give it up and start having fun with it. Well, at least I do.

This is a good example of what VodkaMouth and The Biatches both do on these forums. It's like poking a bear, but then throwing the stick so that when they get mauled, they can say it was the bear's fault. They provoke, but they do it in such a way that they can claim their hands are clean.

I like that Jamie took accountability for his part. It'd be nice if all participants would take the fall for their part as well.

Provoke? Have you even read the discussion? Did you see how it started? I wasn't a part of it until he started (again) with the whole Little Monsters thing. If he keeps repeating the same boring stuff in every thread then he has to expect a reaction. And I'm not one to keep stuff to myself, if I read something that in my opinion is complete bollocks I will say so, without necessarily insulting anyone.

And what you see as provoking is just different opinions to yours, I'm afraid. For example, what VodkaMouth said, that it was an excuse, I agree. That's an opinion. In what way was that provoking? I too think the whole "I've had a long day and they were looking for a reaction" excuse is just that, an excuse.

Have you really read my replies in the Madonna thread? Do you think I was provoking anyone by giving my opinion on Madonna?! As far as I'm aware Jamie isn't Madonna.

Let's just make something clear: I haven't joined DenDen to get a reaction from anyone but to say my opinion. If someone doesn't agree, fair enough, I'll either express my point of view again or just give it up, but I couldn't care less about having a fight with someone.

I have a feeling (could be wrong though) that you two are a bit biased regarding my posts since you know I was one of the two TheBiatches. I won't deny I don't agree with many of the things both you and Jamie say, but that doesn't mean I want to get a reaction from any of you with my posts. If I really wanted that I'd say offensive stuff, to be honest, and I surely haven't done it.

Oh, come on. They were all being bitchy and provoking witht heir comments, but at the end of it all Jamie was the only one who had to resort to personal insults to make a point. End of story.

Jamie didn't have to resort to personal insults. Thats the point, and that's why he got his warning, because his insult was beyond what we deem to be acceptable behaviour here. It was not a justified response in an argument about two popstars.

That's what I meant, I guess I worded my post wrong. I should have written "Jamie was the only one who felt the need to resort to personal insults to make a point". I do think the warning was warranted and TheBiatches and VodkaMouth weren't especially provoking towards Jamie.
